One of the most clever scripts ever written.

This has got to be one of the better written scripts in the entire collection. If you listen to the lines being read, especially in the first half of the show, you get small unnoticed gags connected to the dialog. A brilliant piece of work.

For the story, Little Pete is feeling the blues of school between Feburary and April. It is a time where there are no holidays and it seems like the days are getting longer. So Pete decides to fake an illness for a sick day from school.

In a masterful piece of planning, Pete comes up with faking food poisoning by actually paying for an out-of-date label at the local supermarket. And when he passes the 'mother test' he is set for a sick day. But he will learn, as he lives out the day, that there is more to the world than just yourself. There are things and people right around you that can make you happy if you just look.

I know that most people do not look at the writing and only look at the finished product. but for me, this is a written script that is as good as any in a series. Had to watch the episode twice to get all the subtle gags and humorous jokes that was written into the show. A very enjoyable episode for teens and adults.
