For career day, Pete picks bus driving.
It's career day at Wellsville High School and Big Pete signs up to be a bus driver that was being sponsored by Stu Benedict. Pete was having some second thoughts until he found out that a girl, Penelope Ghiruto, is riding Stu's route. Pete has been trying to talk with the beautiful girl and this may be his chance.
At first things do not go well as the kids riding the bus are put off by having a substitute bus driver. But with Stu's help, Pete is determined to one day drive the bus alone and spend quality time with Penelope. Stu has done all he can and puts his trust into Pete to let him drive the bus solo. But Pete may take advantage of the trust just so he can spend some time with the girl.
This was a straight forward show with almost all the time spent on Big Pete's problem. There was some nice sight gags as Ellen has picked the career of vending machine filler and her eyes are open to the fascinating world of vending. There is nothing she cannot stock in one of her vending machines. The show did have some good scenes as when Pete is trying to hurry everyone off the bus and also when Wayne has scheduled a hair-cut during the route- those were nice. Just wish the story had ended in a different, or should I say more exciting, manner. Overall, a good watch.
