The story of Ellen and Big Pete would have been better.
kfo949427 January 2015
It's the spring season in Wellsville and the love bug has started to bite people from all walks of life. We find out that Big Pete is the first victim as he has this crush on a tennis girl named Heather. Of course Heather does not return the love but Pete cannot do nothing but act a fool.

That's not all, Little Pete has been bitten for the mail-lady, Eunice Puell. Pete has went into phase one of the love bite and has left instructions for Nona to snap him out of the funk. But it seems no matter what Nona does, Pete is in a love fog and everything is right when he sees Eunice.

It comes to a head when Ellen writes a letter to Big Pete after she was bitten. When Eunice delivers the letter it only has the name Pete on the envelope and the letter 'E' in the corner. Little Pete thinks the love letter is from Eunice. The next think that happens is Little Pete is meeting the mail-lady with combed hair and flowers.

The story has some good moments, as when Big Pete only got darts thrown to him by Heather, but it also had some poor moments. I know this may not be popular but Michelle Trachtenberg, that plays Nona, may not have been the right person to carry this story. Not taking away anything from her because she is a nice add in the series, it just seemed she was too young and too annoying for viewers to take her part of the story seriously. I know the producers are looking for a younger crowd but the story between Ellen and Big Pete was so much better and ill used. Anyway it was still enough interest to the story to make for a nice watch.
