Skip Young As The Likable Goof 'Wally Plunstead'
ccthemovieman-116 April 2008
Skip Young takes center stage in this episode. Who is Skip Young? Well, you know him as "Wally Plumstead," Ricky's best friend in college. He was in 36 episodes of "The Adventures Of Ozzie & Harriet" and was a very likable, plump goof-off, who always got laughs with his good sense of humor.

He even had a girlfriend named "Ginger," who plays a big role in this story. The guys force Wally to study because his poor grades could cost the fraternity its social privileges for a semester. Potential problems occur when Rick has to take out Ginger several nights in a row so that Wally can study.

Notes: It says here on the title page that actress Linda Evans was a guest star in this episode, but I did not see her. I even went back and fast-forwarded through the show again and never saw her. She guest-starred as "Shirley" in five episodes herself before eventually becoming a TV star several years later on "The Big Valley." The only woman in this episode, outside of someone at the drive-in near the end (another actress) was Charlene Salerno, who played Ginger......By the way, Young's real last name is "Plumstead!" The writers of this show were looking for a last name for Wally and he suggested his name.
