What would Malloy & Reed do? When confronting a ministry student who is beating the >#^+< out of a few lumberyard workmen, that is? Well, the workmen were in fact taking the Lord's name in vain. That's against the 3rd Commandment, you know. Answer - Malloy & Reed would suggest Mr. Minister-Wannabe try turning the other cheek. This guy obviously needs a few more of those ministry lessons.

Malloy gets to do some plainclothes work while dealing with his plain old clothes. Down the laundromat, that is. Did idiots in the 1970s really use dryers at laundromats to dry their marijuana? The criminal here probably could have gotten away with what he was doing if he hadn't been hogging the dryers for so long. And that there is the episode's major lesson for would-be criminals. Of course now, some 50 years later, marijuana is legal. Also, home dryers are now much more dependable.

There's cuteness galore in the case of a little girl lost. And found - aboard a bus but without any accompanying adults. The partners struggle with the girl's unknown Scandanavian language. Apparently, going by the Trivia and Goofs sections here on IMDB for this episode, the writers struggled with her language, too. Eventually, Malloy and Reed get the girl where she belongs. Oddly, that's right across the street from two neighboring troublemakers with whom M & R have had previous dealings. Though not previously seen on screen.

The neighbors consist of a young father at one house and an elderly spinster-type at the house right next door. This father has a couple of bratty kids who keep throwing garbage into the spinster's yard. With this story segment, viewers learn that Comic Books can have great value. Viewers also learn that it's probably not a good idea to allow your >#^+<head sons get ahold of those Comic Books! This guy is one awful father. His own brats throw HIS valuable comic books into the neighbor's yard.

A fun episode which introduces viewers to the name of Malloy's newest girlfriend, Judy. She's not seen on screen yet, but viewers discover that she's the type who sends new boyfriends to the laundromat to wash and dry her clothes. Geesh. Sounds like the sort of thing evil Helen Crump, on "The Andy Griffith Show", would make her boyfriend, hero Sheriff Andy Taylor, do. Uh...

Oh, no...

Malloy arrests a man in a laundromat drying marijuana in one of the dryers.

A pretty good episode, many unusual calls. A religious man studying for the ministry uses violence on some men taking the Lord's name in vain. A lost little girl cannot speak English, Pete thinks it sounds Scandinavian. Another funny scene has a man saying his comic books have been stolen by cranky old lady neighbor.
