Funny comedy with clever script
lrapsc8 February 2006
I saw this film when it premiered this past summer at a theater in Providence, RI. Honestly, it was easily one of the funniest movies that I had seen all year. It reminded me a lot of "Napoleon Dynamite" and "Garden State." "Better Off Dead," too. The guy who played the cop was hysterical, as was the ju-jitsu instructor brother. The lead character was also well played. The write of the film, who I believe was also the actor who played the lead role, wrote a very unique, interesting, and well-thought out script. The quirky characters he created were then brought to the screen with much life by the actors. The mother was great, the sister was very good, the father was good...really, there weren't really any weak performances, either. All in all, I enjoyed this film immensely. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD!!
