Delightfully horrible! Fans of drunk humor and zombies must have this!

I give "Drunken Dead Guy" a 10, because there is nothing lower than 1 and this movie goes all the way past and back to the top again. With a VHS camcorder, free guerrilla advertising, and a lot of spunk, you can get somebody to buy your homemade movie on DVD for $15.00 and love it! I first came across John Greff's Masterpiece de Cinema when I was looking for videos of Bill Hinzman, the graveyard ghoul from Night of the Living Dead. Or maybe it was the U-Toob video titled "HOTT ANGELS B!TCH SLAP," I don't remember...

In any case, I watched the trailer and bought the DVD right away! I was delighted to receive a professionally packaged, real DVD in a case with a full color sleeve. The movie starts out with a string of horrible self-indulgent jokes and then plunges right into the action. It's unapologetically retarded and crude, vulgar and probably profane too, I'd have to ask a priest.

This is a genuine NO budget movie, with no money for sets or equipment, all you get is MOVIE! Oh... and Bill Hinzman. Yeah, these jokers got one of the great horror icons of the late 20th century to be in their little movie! I don't know what they put in the water in New Jersey, but apparently it makes people want to make movies... and makes them blind to all the reasons they shouldn't.

Kevin Smith (Red Bank represent!) put it best when he said "No, seriously... if I can do this... anybody can!" John Greff and Tom Duda, the guilty parties involved obviously heard this and went and did it! Yeah the movie is grainy and cheap and pretty terrible. But it's honestly funny as hell. Plus there are hot chicks in bikinis and drunks and zombies! What do you want for $15.00? If you think you can do better, rise the the challenge! These guys have an IMDb credit and you DON'T!

Great Comedy!!!
tom-142713 December 2005
I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. I expected a few mild chuckles but ultimately spent most if its hour and a half length laughing on the floor. Who ever said that cheap movies can't be great!?! It started out with a infomercial of a dirty old man selling sex toys on an obscure TV station which was a hysterical warm up to the actual movie.

The story begins where a man who was too honest for the advertising industry and looses his job. He then receives further bad news from his crazy doctor that he has a terminal disease. He quickly passes away then he finds himself in heaven surrounded by beautiful angels. He is finally content. But heaven has its problems where God, who turns out to be an idiot is reading the paper and sees that the devils are winning. God apparently does not follow sports and knows nothing of the devils being a hockey team. So he sends this poor soul back to earth to fight the "devils".

Heaven does not seem to be well versed in details such as preservation of a new zombie. Therefore the arch angel informs this man that he has to drink lots of alcohol to prevent the decaying process. We then have a decaying corpse without funds that will do anything to get his liquor.

I will just stop there as not to spoil the rest of this gem but I HIGHLY recommend it.

Enjoy

One of the funniest movies i ever seen
caspertheholyghost11 September 2012
A friend of my gave me this movie and I didn't expect much but that guy that was the drunken zombie should be a professional comedian. Everybody else in the cast either looked very funny or just was a born comic. I can not say I ever seen a funnier movie. Some other funny movies are: Clerks something about Mary Edward Scissor hands Plan 9 from outer space Sean of the dead the king of comedy all classics but the Drunken Dead Guy is definitely at the top and I will watch again and again. The only problem I have it is difficult to get. I could not find it anywhere on the internet so if you have a friend that has it I would definitely borrow it
