I can think of no other horror film franchise, in which there is an entry that consists of no element of Paranormal horror. Desperado seeps with Tarantino style, dialogue, and story beats. Matt Spease should consider tackling the action genre once again. For fans of the original evil on Queen Street, this is a clever look at the backstory of beloved crook turned hero Nick. Matt is brilliant at playing at the thief with a heart of gold, and it is a classic revenge flick, reminiscent of Tarantino or Rodriguez. Make no mistake, this is a low budget, indie film. If you are familiar with the original evil on Queen Street oh, you will be familiar with the level of budget, and resources Matt had to work with. For those who consider themselves indie film aficionados, Desperado does not disappoint.
