- In the Australian version of the American game show, two teams of two children competed for the chance to win prizes. Each episode would begin with the teams competing against each other in a physical toss-up challenge. The first team to complete the challenge won 20 points and initial control of the round.
The host would then ask the team in control a series of trivia questions. For each question the team answered correctly, they earned 10 points, but if they answered a question incorrectly or failed to respond in time, control of the round would go to the opposing team. If the team were unsure of an answer or wanted to fake-out their opponents, they could dare the question to them for double the points. If the opposing team came up with the correct answer, they would take the points and control, but if they answered incorrectly or failed to respond in time, the team who dared the question took the points and remained in control. The opponents could double dare a question back to the team in control, in which case they had the choice of answering the question or facing a physical challenge. If they correctly answered the question or successfully completed the physical challenge, they earned four times the original point score and stayed in control, otherwise their opponents took the points and control. After a question is first asked, the team in control has 10 seconds to come up with their response; on a dare or double dare, this time was reduced to 5 seconds for the appropriate team. When a buzzer sounded at the end of a question or physical challenge, it signalled the end of the round.
A second round was then played with similar rules to the first round, with the only difference being that all of the point values were doubled. At the end of the second round, the team that had scored more points went on to the final round, in which they were given eight obstacles to complete within 60 seconds. Each obstacle would have a flag either at the end of the obstacle or hidden inside it. When a person found or reached the flag, they passed it to their team-mate, who would then move to the next obstacle, meaning that if the team completed the course within the time limit, each person would tackle four obstacles. Each completed obstacle earned a prize for both members of the team, with the value of the prizes won increasing with each obstacle.
