Madeleine and Marion Fairbanks live with their crippled grandfather on his ranch. When a man comes by with a large cash payment, a couple of tough hombres break in to take to the money, but one of the twins hides the money in her doll and leads them on a chase, while the other rides for help.

It's a very exciting movie, with a sequence that's clearly borrowed from AN UNSEEN ENEMY, plus some nice, mildly undercranked hard riding while Madeleine or Marion -- I cannot tell which is which -- goes to fetch the ranch hands to save her sister.

When the crooks get their hands on the doll, it no longer conceals the money. Where did they hide it? The print I saw misses that final bit of the film.

This film features the Fairbanks twins, Madeline and Marion. They live with their crippled father, who sells horses. One day a man comes to see some of the horses and the father asks one of the twins to ride out with him to the corral. They ride over on their horses, followed by two thieves who watch them very carefully. The man chooses the horses he wants to buy, and he and the girl ride back to her father. While the man is settling up and paying his bill, one of the thieves watches from the window. The man leaves and the father asks the one twin to bring out the cash box, as she turns, she notices the man watching through the window. She tells her father, it would be a better idea if they hide the money in her doll. He chuckles and agrees, and as they finish stuffing the money in the doll, the two thieves burst through the front door. The twins run into the next room and lock the door, the one twin hands the doll to the other and tells her don't let them get this doll. She goes out the back door and rides for help, while the crippled father watches helplessly as they break down the door, now the twin with the doll runs with the thieves in hot pursuit. She reaches a ravine and throws the doll over. The one thief climbs down, but the doll does not contain the money. As they angrily threaten the girl, help arrives just in time. They all go back to the house and the twins rush into the arms of their grateful father.

Very well acted and finely filmed, with the suspense building substantially at a good pace, the copy I viewed seemed complete, but their is no explanation as to what happened to the money. Maybe someone else can solve this mystery for me.
