One of my cherished memories...

I won a ticket to screen this once only showing at 12a at the Laemmle Theater in Hollywood, via KCRW (sat next to Beck the entire movie). The movie was very humorous, yet so insightful into Elliott's world. I think I finalized my love for Elliott as a result of seeing this movie. He was just so charming and thoughtful. This short film is semi-biographical, in that it introduces you to many of Elliott's friends, business acquaintances and people that knew him in a non-musical way, while at the same time, infusing a metaphorical mini-drama where Elliott is contemplating exchanging his own physical hand for a bulky, gaudy "robot arm". For me, it was a way for Elliott to say that he regretted joining up with the big labels and fame, and that he probably felt weighted down by this bulky, gaudy new "artistic arm". Cool interviews with Sam Coomes and Janet Weiss (Quasi, Sleater-Kinney).
