The outdoors photography is the best aspect of this short comedy. The story does have some amusing moments as well, though after a while it more or less runs out of steam. The movie is set in Nova Scotia, and was actually filmed in New Hampshire, which works fairly well in establishing the setting.
The story follows an eloping couple as they take their honeymoon, which sees the hot-tempered new husband getting himself into a series of silly squabbles. Most of it is the same basic gag simply repeated a number of times, with varying degrees of slapstick, but the settings and scenery make it seem a little more interesting than it would be by itself.
In a couple of the sequences, they use clam digging or other such touches to emphasize the "Acadian" setting. It is not always convincing, but for its time it works all right.
