Dan Horgan

I was pretty moved by this documentary, not only in Dan's artistic gifts to the nature of this planet, but in his real message. Actually, I started out wanting to get in touch with Dan, through an email or handwritten letter but, for now, kudos through this medium will have to suffice. There was much, in his talks with the camera, that I could identify with; the pain, the search for meaning, and the rejuvenation of a dormant relationship with one's youthful self. In an attempt not to spoil the essence of Dan's film, there is shown, and proved, a relationship between the work of one's hands and one's heart. My congratulations to Dan, in his triumphs with this life. His artistry truly reflects the soul that lives within him, and exudes the worth of steadfastness, when imagining his effort while standing in view of his work. Truly, the work of this sensitive care, using earth's paints and textures, back-dropped by time and space, are deservedly his. I am convinced that the forces of life must be pleased with his energy and honesty, as he casts his hands in determined submission. Although motionless, Dan's works will move anyone willing to give a tiny fraction of the time given to setting those works free. To me, the message in his work is an endless regard for life, with gifts we will find within and outside ourselves. Dan is truly the owner of gifts given to those who believe.
