Evil deals with the complicated, non-binary nature of evil and how social media has changed its definition, creators/executive producers Robert and Michelle King said during the TCA session for the upcoming CBS psychological drama.
Evil, about a skeptical female clinical psychologist (Katja Herberts) who joins a priest-in-training (Mike Colter) as they investigate supposed miracles, demonic possessions, and other extraordinary occurrences, has had a long journey to the screen. “We’ve been writing it for the last year and researching it for the last thirty,” Michelle King said.
Robert King spoke about present-day villainy and how the show came about after conversations whether modern acts of terrorism are supernatural phenomenon or a result of our current social media landscape.
“I think the show is trying to avoid the binary… What we wanted to do is explore how social media has changed in terms of what is evil and how evil...

Last night's Good Wife season finale revealed Kalinda's rarely-seen scared side when Alicia inadvertently contacted the investigator's dangerous ex-husband. And while the episode ended without showing the mystery man at Kalinda's door, creators Robert and Michelle King have said that this nameless character will play a big part in season four.

"That is intended to be a long arc," Robert King told EW.com of the role. He goes on to add that their relationship will take on a massive love/hate dynamic. "It's not exactly Fifty Shades of Grey, but the spirit of sexual dominance mixed with who's dominating who ... where love and fear are kind of combined. It just sounds like a fascinating way to see Kalinda."

Exclusive: Greg Berlanti has sold his first project under his rich new overall deal with Warner Bros Television -- a legal drama to be written by his frequent collaborator Marc Guggenheim. The project, entitled Guilty, has landed at Fox with a script commitment with penalty said to be in the put pilot range. It centers on a brilliant, morally questionable defense attorney who, after being falsely convicted of fraud and stripped of his legal license, uses his unorthodox methods to solve the cases he's been prohibited from handling and to ultimately exact revenge on the men who set him up. This marks the latest legal drama project for Guggenheim, who is a former lawyer. His first produced work was an episodic script for The Practice. He also worked on NBC's Law & Order and ABC's In Justice, and co-created with Berlanti the supernatural legal drama Eli Stone. Guggenheim, who also is a longtime comic book writer,...

We’ve all grown accustomed to the new television lineups featuring epic adventures-in-time-and-space sci-fi shows. It’s nothing new. Our moms and dads followed Star Trek (the various ideations), Doctor Who, Lost in Space, Battlestar Galactica, V, and countless others; it left an indelible impression on our collective psyche. Humans just love the idea of a catastrophe or an us-versus-them dynamic, and throwing in some blazing guns, soaring music, gut-clenching drama and a large dollop of fantasy fulfillment into the mix makes is undeniably attractive. We want to toy with the idea of disaster and speculations about our futures, and how we, as a race, would respond in such situations, without the actual messiness of the real thing—plus, we all just love being scared and thrilled.

A recently divorced mother of two moves back to the affluent Dallas suburb where she grew up. There she must do social battle with her former high school social circle - a klatch of southern belle mean girls. The story comes from a novel called Good Christian Bitches and the pilot (from Sex and the City producer Darren Starr) shared the same trenchant title until Christian and feminist groups took issue with the whole "Bitches" thing. Too bad, because the replacement settled on, Good Christian Belles, sounds a little bland. Why not Adequate Agnostic Junior Leaguers?

Writer Michael Oates Palmer has set up a dramedy at ABC Studios and a comedic drama at FX in addition to a drama he has in the works at Epix. As part of a blind script with ABC Studios, Palmer will write an untitled project loosely based on the New Zealand series Go Girls. ABC Studios and ABC first took a stab at adapting the series, from the creator of another popular New Zealand show that found its way to American television via ABC, Outrageous Fortune aka Scoundrels, last season with writer Liz Tuccillo. Palmer is working on the project with producer Julia Franz in a partnership grandfathered in before she left ABC Studios in September to join Jamie Tarses at her Sony-based Fanfare. Palmer's adaptation of Go Girls is described as an hourlong relationship dramedy about a single man and his three single female friends, all in their early-mid 30s,...

Last week, there was a change in leadership at CBS' new drama The Good Wife. The series is the network's second most-popular new drama of the season so will this move hurt the show?
Showrunner and executive producer Dee Johnson is leaving the series but Michelle and Robert King, The Good Wife's co-creators and executive producers, are picking up her duties.
Johnson was initially brought in because the Kings had limited experience running a show, having worked on ABC's short-lived In Justice and a few other projects.
