So, he gets Liza, Charo, Carol and the rest of those has beens on his show... spilling their guts, pouring their hearts out...
Is this REALLY entertainment?
Well, for this guy... yeah, maybe it is...
This show shows the seedy underbelly of Broadway, off-Broadway and WAAAAY off-Broadway in ways that most shows wouldn't dare. The host panders, flirts shamelessly and often goes beyond the bounds of good taste or even basic etiquette as he interviews greats, near greats, has been greats and ingrates. I can't judge it too harshly, because I, for one, could never do it myself. More celebrities (and ne'er do wells) have been outrageous on this show, been outed, or come out themselves because of the host's seeming innocence and wide-eyed gullibility. I suspect it's an act, but if it is, it's a good one. It's like spending an hour with your naughtiest friend - while they behave badly.
And by the way... it's much more fun than American Idol!
