Weird Horror, almost HP Lovecraft

Although I am a lordi fan and that makes me bias I think that it was and all round good horror film, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't just an excuse to play all there songs (infact they didn't really play any). The plot was good if a bit confusing (if you don't pay close attention to the notes at the beginning the film it seems just nonsensical) although I felt the acting was sometimes bit wooden because of the dubbing and/or ADR but the on screen performance was consistently good. Lordi's appearances were brilliant and highly amusing and I wouldn't recommend this film to people who are squeamish. Effects were good and not over the top Over all a good well written gory weird horror story that may give you a bit of a headache figuring it out (its ninth gate all over again!). Oh and watch the last scene carefully I swear I saw some of the band members out of costume sitting about but maybe its just me.

Lordi fans will love it

Lordi's ~ The KIN, will have Lordi fans captivated with every frame. The Experimental film from the Finnish Hard rocking monsters, has been described as along the lines of an episode of The twilight zone, and I can tell you now, that you need to watch this short MORE than twice to appreciate the film.

This film, has a great feel to it, with the bands members only appearing in short bursts, making the obligatory kills. The costumes of the members, are their Monsterican Dream era costumes, and although not on par with the excitement of their music videos, will have Lordi fans drooling very quickly.

The only drawbacks to this short, is the... length ~ its should be feature film length, The band members ~ They should have longer appearances and the plot, which is difficult to follow unless you watch it several times.

All in all, the film is great if your a Lordi fan, and The Monsterican Dream DVD set is worth every cent. Stay Heavy Curt
