Short revue: Wonderful funny short with strong content
OJT11 August 2013
I like short movies if they are to the point, but many of them doesn't manage to engage. This film is very different in that way. It's to the point, multi layered, funny, unexpected and full of feelings. The genre is also impossible to agree on. It's so perfect that I every year use this in media & communication class when we talk about narration and what to expect, genre and genre crossing.

Norwegian director Amund Lie is also writer here, and originally being a photographer he obviously understand what it is all about, and to the point. I will not reveal what the film is about, except that we meet a common man which needs to put up some shelves in his apartment, and seems to get disturbed when he borrows a Black & Decker drill from his neighbor.

The actors are all well know Norwegian actors and Svein Roger Karlsrn is brilliant in the main role as Kjell. Also Ingolf Karinen and Gøril Mauset delivers perfectly. See it! You're in for a treat!

Highly recommended, and one of the best shorts I've ever seen. It's out on youtube. Just search for "Black & Decker short" and you'll find it.
