I am not going to say it is horrible, but this is most certainly not the best game put out by Square back in the days before they were Square-Enix. Released on the Super NES, this game is kind of a bare bones more simple role playing game. Imagine my disappointment when Final Fantasy II (the fourth one) was a game I was searching for everywhere and could never find. My mom says she thought she had found it and reveals this game. I had rented it before and was not overly impressed, but it grew on me a bit. There are no random encounters, all the enemies are right there on the screen and you keep fighting them multiple times until they are gone, never to return. I kind of like that feature, I wish they would make a Ninja Gaiden game where the enemies simply stopped spawning after so many kills and you could clear up the screen. The story is simple, the quest is easy. There really is not to much to say about this one as the battle system is the only rather unique thing about it and it is not the battle system, but how you fight enemies. It does get a bit monotonous, but overall this game has enough charm to keep it entertaining.
