The story is full of anguish
deickemeyer26 December 2018
This two-part picture play contains some of the most beautiful scenes imaginable, but the story is full of anguish and has a tragic ending. A lower caste Japanese girl marries a man of caste, who is ordered home. The wife commits suicide to free him to return. There is real emotional interest in this picture. - The Moving Picture World, August 15, 1914
