It's Just A Squirlle!!

Warning: Spoilers
A truck driver has to teach a pizza delivery driver how to breakdance.

This is a pretty neat film, for a no budget independent film. The story line ,acting ,production are better than other independent films with a budget that I've seen. I cant wait for the next McLauphlin and McLauphlin production. Maybe it will be the trucker movie he wanted to make.

Joe Etheridge drives the Peterbuilt 18 wheeler.

Joe Etheridge is a permanent A list actor.

Brandi Riggs,Andrea Morton,Brandy Casano, and Alison Crane are hot!!

Incredibly funny movie with a surprising heart!

I loved this movie. I saw a screening of, "The Breakdance Kid" at The Austin Film Festival and could not stop laughing through the entire movie. The characters are very memorable and the filmmaker pinpointed the 80's genre right on.

But it's more than just a poke at the 80's. I went into the theatre thinking it was going to just be a very broad comedy and I was fine with that. But I actually was surprised at the characters and the relationships and the heart that was carried through in this film. Even though Whitey seems kind of stupid in the beginning, you really start to appreciate his blind faith in his abilities and his relentless efforts to succeed. The love story and the relationship his trainer Katfish were especially fun to watch.

I'm not sure if this film is bought by a studio already but I certainly hope it makes it out to video. I think its going to be one of those instant classics with tons of quotable lines.

Very funny movie-brings back the meaning of what a comedy is supposed to be.

'The Breakdance Kid' will make you laugh, weep, cling to the edge of your seat, and be inspired by the unique and heartwarming story.

Warning: Spoilers
This review contains minor spoilers.

"The Breakdance Kid" tells the inspirational story of Whitey Johnson (Dustin Fasching), a pizza delivery boy who is tragically hit by a tractor trailer, and has to be in a wheelchair as a result. However, Whitey is very enthusiastic about his recovery, and makes it his goal to not only to regain full use of his legs, but to become the greatest break-dancer in all of Texas. With the assistance of the retired disco legend who ran him over, (played hilariously by Andre Meadows), Whitey quickly recovers from his injuries and is on the way to becoming a breakdancer, but he struggles with his reluctant teacher and his relationship with a girl named Grace (Alison Crane), who wants to be a photographer for National Geographic.

"The Breakdance Kid" manages to sustain hilarity for the entire 1:20:00 and also teach some very important lessons about life and love. One of the most quotable movies made, 'The Breakdance Kid' will make you laugh, weep, cling to the edge of your seat, and be inspired by the unique and heartwarming story. Definitely not one to miss!
