The acting was fair

Mildred Desmond, a female detective, discovers her maid has appropriated her furs and necklace to wear to meet a man whose letter she had answered through a matrimonial agency. Believing him to be a crook with designs on the maid, Mildred impersonates her and meets the crook, who, disillusioned, suggests she assist in robbing the house. She consents and the result is his downfall. The district attorney, an admirer of Mildred's, appears and assists her. The acting was fair, but the plot inconsistent; in some instances impossible. - The Moving Picture World, February 21, 1914
