Warning: Spoilers
Four kids find themselves trapped in a video game personally designed by them and must now travel across the galaxy to find their missing game cartridges and stop a villain named Zorch from taking over the universe. Considering this was made by the same guy who created The Proud Family, you'd think that Bruce Smith would make this premise work, right. Hehehe, WRONG!!!! This cartoon is filled with so many plot holes that any kind of logic you try putting into it leaks out immediately.

The characters always constantly talk in slang that nobody EVER used (eg. "Tony Hawk it later, homie!"). Highly pretentious and tries way too hard. It's literally all just an annoying mess. It's a case of a horrible TV show with a good concept. Other sufferers from this case include Legends of Chamberlain Heights and later seasons of Oggy and the Cockroaches. Rips off better shows (mainly Samurai Jack and Captain N: The Game Master). It uses every sci-fi cliche in the book. Racist black stereotypes which is ironic considering that one of the creators (Bruce Smith, the main force behind it) is African-American. This show was so bad that only 4 of the 13 episodes were aired in America while the other 9 episodes aired in the UK. For some reason, the kids are surprised of what they see in the world they were teleported to. And said place looks like the game they made. Shouldn't they know it by now? Some lip sync screw ups there and there. The theme song (which by the way confirms that the kids indeed made the game) rips off Puff Daddy's Come With Me. It aired on one of the greatest Saturday morning cartoon blocks of all time, Kids! WB. And I don't think it's ever at any point explained where that vortex thing came from. What did the writers think that "fans" of this show would be show riveted and invested in watching the kids on their adventures in the video game world to question how they ended up there in the first place?

Incomprehesible

Not only is the concept of the show a plot hole, with how the kids don't seem to know anything about a game THEY MADE, but you really can't understand anything anyone is saying due to the fact that they all speak in either incomprehensible slang or, in one case, techno babble (that they made up).

Warning: Spoilers
In the genius of Bruce W. Smith and his team he created "Da Boom Crew" four children each with individual talents and unique traits.

Justin Diesel is team leader and always supporting his homies and uses two laser guns and a slingshoot.

Nate Diesel is Justin's younger brother and pilot of the spaceship also a grifter swordsman.

Ricki a beautiful young mechanic with a pole staff and a robot named dent. And Jubei a sniper with a laser bazooka who's a mellow and zen surfer type of guy.

Together they fight Zorch a intergalactic warlord and Headlock and Jerome (voiced by Morris Day and Jerome Benton respectively).

I think this is one of the greatest animated series put out to date. Definitely deserves a reboot.

A Video Game Show Done Right

I personally appreciated this show. It was very interesting to see the multifarious adventures Justin, Nate, Ricki, and Jubei got themselves into. And it really did seem like a video game at times. There was always something exciting going on and some new foe for the Boom Crew to contend with. My only complaint is that it ended on a cliffhanger. Other than that, I liked the show. I feel like if they were to make a reboot, it would be even better than the original. There was actually a lot to go off of here. Maybe someday. I do wish that more people knew about it, because I honestly think it wasn't that bad a show. It had a lot of good ideas.

I like this show

I like this show because it is cool & the music intro for it was dope. It is just the best show I ever seen. When I first tried the show, I felt like cringing but then when I tried it again, I instantly fell in love with the show.It looks cool but the ratings were so low & everybody hated this one more than Esther Rolle hated Jimmie Walker's character on "Good Times". It looks just like the Proud Family but only better.
