Very good movie

Definitely, between all the crap in Mexican movie industry, "Sexo, Amor y otras perversiones" is a decent collection of sex themed short films.

The short films "made in México" are the best of the world, and these are not the exception: very decent, funny, and reflexive. OK, some of the shorts are a little foolish in his story, but, for one of this rare cases, the story is not the important part: the most important is the characters... so humans, and so "cartooonized" at the same time.

Is not the "movie of the century", but is a good way to have a quiet afternoon, without complications...ahhh, yeah, I forgot: the best short: "María en el elevador"...the worst: "Dos meses de Renta"...the most original: "Max Viagra"

embarrassingly bad

Warning: Spoilers
this is the kind of film that ruins all the progress Mexican cinema has made during the last few years. the film tries so hard to be shocking and racy, and the results are incredibly clumsy and moronic. one leaves the film feeling that Mexican (as well as most catholic Latin American countries) filmmakers are so clueless about sex, that they have to use toilet humour to mask the shame they feel about sexuality.

this is the typical film that screams "I want to be controversial in a country that's sexually repressed" yet cannot find one intelligent way of doing it.

one of the most pathetic films I ve ever seen.

Entertaining, interesting, almost sexy

This "movie" is actually made out of 6 or 7 stories which aren't related by anything but the central topic: sex. Although most of them may seem as the most common sexual fantasies, they've got a surprising, sexy touch. The shots are well balanced: they're explicit but definitely not grotesque or whatsoever. It's a great movie if we take into consideration that Mexico is a sexually repressed country. I'd recommend it to people who like and understand Mexican humor, have a short memory span and want to sit on a sofa and just chill for a while. And, why not? it's perfect if you're high on pot 'cuz the stories' length ain't too attention demanding, so they're easy to understand ;-)

An entertaining one, a short one

I don't know, for me was very short this movie, well, actually it is not a "movie" at all, it is like 6 or 7 short movies with a little connection (one character in two of them) very funny, kind of surprising and emotive.

Good soundtrack, emotive too. Martha Higareda is demonstrating that she's not only a beauty face... her character is so sad that you almost cry at her interpretation.

It is of course not an Oscar-winning movie, but you'll have a nice time watching this one, actually my recommendation is: See it with your couple, wife, girlfriend or lover. It doesn't matter. I think that at the end, when you are seeing the closing credits you can get this conclusion... love is not cool all the time, but that's what make it worth to try.

And that's what this movie is all about.

Have fun!
