Inspirational Short Film
strangrnstranglnd27 November 2004
This short film should be an inspiration to all fledgling filmmakers. It's fun and clever... And the DP did a great job. By the look of the film, it could be any episode of The O.C. or Dawson's Creek.

The actors are great too! The male lead is very memorable and charismatic. The scene stealer, however, is the sister. I'm eager to follow her career.

My only problem with the film was the narration sound. It sounded flat - almost like the guy was standing behind the camera reciting the lines. I don't know - it just bugged me.

All in all, it was a nice short film - creatively and technically.

The infamous Mastercard commercial
philcald14 April 2005
Warning: Spoilers
This is the infamous MasterCard commercial that was made essentially - I believe - for viewing on the net concerning the cost of a night out.

A boyfriend and girlfriend have just returned to her home from a night out; the boyfriend sees her to the door and asks her for a sexual favour.

The woman refuses saying that if they were caught her father might not like it and possibly react angrily, (if you see what I mean) anyhow this goes on for a little while.

Suddenly the porch light goes on and the woman's younger sister opens the door; she says Dad says go ahead and do it, or I can do it or if need be he'll come down and do it, but for Gods sake tell him to take his hand off the intercom... Cue the embarrassed faces.

There are many MasterCard commercials on the net, some blatant fakes some real.

The Simpson's version with Homer thinking of himself as he always does is a prime example, the difference being the end is two donuts merging into the MasterCard symbol.

Whether this was a spoof or not it really was well thought out and choreographed.

Really! Really! Funny!

This is a very funny "Priceless" tongue-in-cheek commercial. It is well done with a great surprise.

This is one of a serious of MasterCard "priceless moment" commercials. But, this one is very well filmed and quite believable.

But the real gem in watching this short if Marla-Ann Altschuler. She literally steals the entire short with just one line. She should get consideration for a serious comedy role.

Her dead-pan humor is fantastical! Don't Miss it. Don't forget to commit!!!!!

This is worth the time to find it and listen to it.

old joke, but still funny
movieman_kev13 February 2005
In one minute Scott Quigley did what Alan Chan couldn't do in his 3 minutes "12 Hot Women" spoof. He actually made it funny. I have yet to see Scott's first short film "In Too Deep", but since it's on Ifilm, it won't be long till I get to it. But, this short spoof on Mastercard commercials shows that that the man has talent. I'm glad I saw it, even though I heard a joke remarkably similar once before. I look forward to Scott's next project. Perhaps a feature film, if you're listening, Mr. Quigley

My Grade: B

Where i saw it: Atom Films
