Delicious!!!

Deliciously campy, a definite cult classic in tune with the likes of John Water's films!

Mr. Venturini's writing and creative use & placement of certain props were totally hilarious!

Excellent Cast & Crew, several of whom I am certain will soon become household names~

Looking forward to a soundtrack and mixes of the songs in the film, fabulous!!!

Congrats on all the nominations & awards at film festivals around the world!

Looking forward to seeing more of Mr. Venturini's films in the future!

Thanks for all the laughs!

Loved It!!

Warning: Spoilers
What can I say? If you love gross-out humor, John Waters and all of his early films like Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble and Polyester, then you are going to love Succubus. I've looked for the short at Amazon, Blockbuster and Netflix, but I was able to watch the whole thing on their website, SecretiaTV(dot)com. I loved the character of Dr. Moore, and I can see why Angela Box won a Best Actress award at the San Francisco Short film festival. Her performance is hilarious, campy fun! The short is a send-up of 50's Sci-Fi movies and Hannah-Barbera cartoons like Scooby Doo. The main character, Secretia Collins, gets artificially inseminated in a back alley & mysterious sperm bank by Box's Dr. Moore. Sixteen years later, Dr. Moore is released from the insane asylum and recruits Secretia's daughter, Cece, for her special school for retards. Obviously, Dr. Moore has an ulterior motive, but I won't give that away because the big musical finale is definitely a show-stopper. Without giving anymore away, I'd say, go check it out; it's definitely worth it!!

Loads of Raunchy Fun...
trash_g30 June 2006
I caught this film at Outfest and found it to be positively raunchy, over-the-top fun. It was a lot like a live-action South Park with smatterings of classic John Waters. This film ran the gamut of filth from artificial insemination to talking sperm to a lesbian scientist gone mad. The pace moved briskly. The acting performances from Angela Box, Tom Tangen and Maria Quinones were fantastic! I think my favorite character was Jennie Jones played by Ayana Cahrr. Her character never speaks, but I found myself in stitches every time she was on screen. There seemed to be a lot of attention to the color and the look of the film including the washed out whites and brilliant reds and greens. It looked like an old unearthed 1950's sci-fi film. The soundtrack was great, too. I wonder if any of the music is available in stores or online? Since this was a comedy and not a horror film, I'm not sure why it was called Succubus, but I'll definitely look for it whenever it comes out on DVD.
