It is acceptably romantic
A love story of the West. The sheriff is shown as in love with a pretty girl of the valley. Her preferred lover is called Meynard. As the story develops, after a few scenes of love making, including a village dance, the sheriff discovers that Maynard is "Silver Spur," a notorious bandit who is "wanted." The climax comes when he attempts to arrest the man at the girl's house. It and the denouement are quite fresh. The picture is a good, interesting release; it is acceptably romantic; doesn't transgress the laws of probability, on the one hand, nor the laws of morality, on the other. It doesn't drag and both acting and scene- making are good. The photography is excellent. - The Moving Picture World, July 13, 1912
