Star Wars has invaded Kings Landing! The Croatian city of Dubrovnik is also where Game of Thrones shoots some southern scenes and it’s currently being prepped for the arrival of Star Wars Episode VIII: Space Bear.
In case you missed last week, the production title for this Rian Johnson-directed Saga entry is Space Bear, it’s been spotted in official tweets and Instagrams, mostly featuring dogs.

Johnson responded to this tweet by linking back to tweets he made in June of last year about dreaming an action sequence that was so amazing, he willed himself to remember it when he woke up.

After giving us a city-wide playground to explore, then taking us to an offshore oil rig with its first story-based add-on, Sunset Overdrive is back with its second (and final) piece of campaign Dlc, dubbed Dawn of the Rise of the Fallen Machines. It’s a brand new, three to five hour-long experience, which adds even more entertaining gameplay to what was one of 2014’s best titles. Not only that, but it’s also chock full of hilarity.
Dawn of the Rise of the Fallen Machines (say that quickly, seven to ten times), sends our created hero into a new region of Sunset City. One that was previously blocked off by a large wall and an invisible shield, which had to be deactivated for the purpose of this quest. The goal? To stop the production of Fizzco’s military grade robots, who not only have the means for warfare but enter into it gleefully.

I remember reading a book, the first book I’d ever review online, called Meditations on Middle on Earth, which was collection of essays from the who’s who cast of fantasy authors reflecting on The Lord of the Rings. When they read it, where they were, how it influenced them. Among them was Robin Hobb, who’d I also later interview, and she posed a question in her essay that was something to the effect of the thought of why even try (to write) something that has already been done at that level? I find myself, from the fan’s perspective, in a similar place. As a life long fan of epic fantasy, this guy, one Steven Erikson… he’s done it.
When I finished reading Steven Erikson’s The Crippled God I was hit with asoiafitis, that truly magical yearning of just having to go talk about what you just experienced.

This year, Insomniac Games gave us an early Christmas present in the form of Sunset Overdrive; a colourful, zany and incredibly fun game that ended up being better than expected. Now, a couple of short months after the Xbox One exclusive Game of the Year contender’s release, the Od-filled and punk rock-fuelled badass simulator has been given added life with a brand new downloadable content campaign titled Sunset Overdrive and the Mystery of the Mooil Rig! Try to say that five times in a row without stopping or making a mistake. I dare you.
As you’ve likely gathered from its overly long and utterly strange title, The Mystery of the Mooil Rig! takes place on an offshore oil rig. Not just any drilling outfit, though: One that has, itself, also been overrun by Od, thanks to a mixture of oil and everyone’s favourite new energy drink. And that’s not all,...

Sunset Overdrive, the latest title from Ratchet & Clank and Resistance creators Insomniac Games, originally launched on the Xbox One in October to generally favorable reviews, including from our own Matt Joseph, who described the game as “vibrant, exhilarating and absolutely bonkers.”
A season pass that launched alongside the game promised two downloadable expansions for the main campaign, and the first of those is now available on Xbox Live. Titled Mystery of the Mooil Rig and costing $9.99, the Dlc opens up the titular rig as a completely new area off the shores of Sunset City, and has the game’s customizable protagonist battling numerous new enemy types, including trigger-happy union workers and vicious aquatic mutants.
Besides containing new missions at the rig, many more of the main game’s other trademark features get expanded upon, meaning fans will find new weapons, traps, moves, and missions for the Chaos Squad multiplayer mode.

At the time of writing, there are just six days to go before Julian Gollop's Kickstarter campaign for Chaos Reborn comes to a close. In case you missed it, we covered the game in more detail a few weeks ago; based on the 80s Zx Spectrum game Chaos, it's both a revival and comprehensive expansion on that tactical fantasy classic.
We've had a chance to play with the prototype multiplayer bit of Chaos Reborn, and while it's still being polished, it's every bit the engrossing battle of wits an necromancy we were hoping. Christopher Nolan has gone Interstellar.
It’s a half-hearted pun that many have made since last August, when the title and basic premise of Nolan’s latest film was first announced. With a November release date set, and only the most teasing of teaser trailers put forward, little is known of the project beyond its startlingly starry cast. Anticipation couldn’t be more feverish, an indicator just how much the English filmmaker has grown in the 14 years since Memento, his first cinematic effort and instant classic. In many ways, he has replaced the listless Ridley Scott as one of the movie business’ most exciting exponents, his every release dripping in not just hype but substantial promise.
He may have lost essential and trusted cinematographer Wally Pfister, who has enjoyed Transcendence into the realms of directing himself (another half hearted word play), but this has not diminished Nolan as a force.

Forces from outer space bring metal to life in Metal Shifters. And you know what? It's not bad...
Welcome back to Mystery DVD Club. The idea behind this is simple: we went and bought a whole host of films that we hadn't heard of before, none of which cost us more than a few pounds. Then, we sent them to a bunch of our writers, without telling them what 'film' they were going to receive. Could we unearth a hidden gem? Actually, we might have done...
It's a tale as old as time. A junk-yard owner builds a 20-foot fully-articulated human-like statue from scrap metal and car parts in a small Idaho town. Meanwhile, some bacteria falls to earth on a crashed satellite and turns out to have a physics-defying ability to move metal. Bacteria 'possesses' statue. Chaos ensues.

Sgt. Wu is one of the few characters on "Grimm" unaware that Wesen exist. This past Friday he got the shock of his life when his friend's unborn baby was almost eaten by one. Actor Reggie Lee sat down for a Q&A about where that leaves him now.
Q: What about Sergeant Wu's future? And will we find out more about Wu's personal life?
Reggie Lee: We're shooting Episode 19. You've seen 14, but he's a sharp guy and the writers are smart. So it's like there are little hints here and there that are kind of funny that you'll see.
And yes, this effect on me lingers. It'll linger for quite a bit. And it'll probably linger through the rest of the season. But he's a sharp guy, so there's some real wonderful moments here and there as we go through the season that he's like, "Hmmm. Hmmm. What are you doing here?...

Much like the Men of Letters injected new life into "Supernatural," so too has the Wesen Council added some spice to "Grimm." They return in next week's Episode 3.15, "Once We Were Gods," and here's a sneak peek via some stills and a preview.
As an added bonus, we have a creature profile of last night's Wesen of the Week: The Aswang, vicious Filipino Wesen who must consume their first-born grandchild in order to prolong their own lives. Kind of makes you rethink that whole "respect your elders" thing, huh?

Most Public Burning Of A Bridge: Sharon Osbourne declared she never wanted to hear from NBC again. We’re pretty sure that won’t be a problem, love.
Biggest Waste of Talent: Maya Rudolph, WIll Arnett and Christina Applegate deserve so much more than Up All Night. So to does the audience who tuned into last night’s not-so-improved second season premiere.
Toughest Trick: Survivor’s Zane managed to blindside himself by coming up with an elaborate scheme designed to oust Russell only to find himself the one whose flame was snuffed out.
Most In Need Of A Dictionary: After announcing plans for a “special” called Two Ton Killer (about a 1,000 pound woman who crushed her nephew), The Learning Channel revealed that their show Breaking Amish isn’t exactly as real as it purports. Meaning that somewhat ironically, the network does not understand the meanings of the words “special”, “real” or “learning.

Batman 3 Dark Knight Rises – Batman, Catwoman, Tumblers, and Riot
Chaos rules the streets of Gotham City as the citizens come out in force to go head-to-head with the Gotham Pd and Batman isn’t able to do much because he has his hands full with Bane. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Catwoman is on the scene but it’s unknown if her presence is a benefit to the good guy, the bad guy, or if she’s only in it for herself. Check out the latest video clips showing some on-location shooting for Batman 3, The Dark Knight Rises.
The streets of Gotham City are packed with thousands of angry people that insist on getting their point across with their fists and there’s no end of the mayhem in sight because Batman is getting his butt kicked by Bane (check out video #4 for that action). Catwoman...

Community “Horror Fiction” Touches on Familiar Ground
Right off the bat, “Horror Fiction in Seven Spooky Steps” has two things working against it. While this was a very funny half-hour of Community, it lives in the shadow of the previous episode, “Remedial Chaos Theory”, and last year’s “Epidemology”. Both were better episodes, but for different reasons. “Epidemology” may go on to be Community’s best Halloween episode, and every subsequent attempt will fail in comparison. How do you top strange army meat that turns you in to a zombie? You just can’t. And “Chaos” was so similarly structured; it’s a shame these two episodes were aired so close together. If “Chaos” and “Horror Fiction” had been given more time in between airings, it might not have stuck out so much, but there you have it. I’m sure “Horror Fiction” would look a lot better when just randomly watched on its own.

They started out as young, plain, paper cut outs, and just 15 seasons later they have become one of the most influential and popular set of kids of all time, with rude behaviour, fantastic parodies, and great underlying messages all playing a huge part within the show. However, after its phenomenal run - one that is now into its 14th year - rumours are suggesting that this iconic series is coming to an end within the next few years, so what better time to recap on our favourite moments; and, most importantly, the reasons we fell in love with that offensive town, nestled deep within Colorado.

Kenny’s ability to resurrect would make Jesus jealous, as every episode - for the first few seasons at least - Kenny died. His deaths were always unexplained, until one day its creators decided to educate us on Kenny's alter ego Mysterion.

Fox performed well on Saturday night thanks to Cops and The Indestructibles, preliminary figures show. The network's repeat of Cops at 8pm topped the demo and drew the biggest audience, with around 3.1m tuning in. Meanwhile, The Indestructibles at 9pm - a National Geographic special - also won the demo and was watched by almost 3.5m. Although most networks aired repeats, CBS broadcast a new episode of Chaos, the season finale. However, the show was only watched by around 3m. The network did better later, with a repeat of The Mentalist earning 3.6m viewers and a rerun of 48 Hours Mystery being (more)...

CBS managed to reach the highest number of people on Saturday night, preliminary ratings figures show. The evening, which came at the beginning of the holiday weekend, saw low viewing figures across the board. Earlier, a new episode of Chaos managed to pull in almost 2.7m while a repeat of CSI: NY was seen by around 3.3m. From Fox’s American Idol to The CW’s Shedding for the Wedding, here’s how all the broadcast shows of the 2010-11 season performed in the all-important adults 18-49 demo (and this includes the first seven days of DVR viewing after a show’s premiere). Climbers on the chart include ABC’s Dancing With the Stars and Modern Family, while some of the notable declines include CBS’ Undercover Boss, Fox’s House and ABC’s Desperate Housewives. NBC’s The Voice is the highest-rated new show followed by CBS’ Mike & Molly. CBS’ $#*! My Dad Says ranks as the highest-rated cancelled show,...

CBS had quite a few flops last year, with the now-canceled "Chaos," "The Defenders," "$#*! My Dad Says," "Mad Love," and "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior," turds one and all ("Medium" was also axed). And yet, it still walks out of the season as the number one network, a title it's held for 8 of the past 9 years. It's good to be the king, and when your shit is working, you don't change it up much. Sure, there are a few schedule changes and a handful of new shows (3 new dramas, two new comedies, and one midseason show). But not a whole lot of surprises with 19 returning shows (and with this scheduling announcement, "Blue Bloods," "The Good Wife," and "CSI: Miami" got the official renewals we all expected they were going to get) mostly keeping their old timeslots.
(Unlike our earlier Upfronts columns this week, there are no clips here because CBS still hasn't released clips.

The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the fourth announced today. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on CBS.
Still faring well, though not as indomitable as it used to be, CBS made headlines more this year for the antics of "Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen than any of its other shows. With Ashton Kutcher now replacing Sheen, the new look 'Men' is staying in the same time slot and you can bet the network is desperately hoping it'll perform as well.
In any case, CBS is actually making some significant changes this year in terms of scheduling. Most notably the new J.J. Abrams series "Person of Interest" is getting the highly coveted Thursday 9pm slot which has been the home of the original "CSI" for the past decade,...

It was a really bad week for Chaos and 48 Hours Mystery. Most of the rest of the CBS schedule also saw losses. Only three TV series registered week-to-week gains -- 60 Minutes, NCIS, and Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior. The Good Wife was flat.
Which CBS TV shows will be cancelled or renewed depend mostly on the series's ratings, particularly the 18-49 demographic. Before we get to the season-to-date averages, here are the winners and losers from April 8th through April 14th -- based on the coveted demo, as measured against the last original episode.
Week-to-Week Gains: 60 Minutes 2.2/7 (+46.7%), NCIS 3.9/12 (+2.6%), and Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior 2.6/7 (+23.8%).
No Change: The Good Wife 2.0/5
Week-to-Week Losses: Chaos 0.9/3 (-18.2%), CSI: NY 1.7/5 (-5.6%), Blue Bloods 1.6/5 (-5.9%), 48 Hours Mystery 1.0/3 (-28.6%), The Amazing Race...

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World week is finally here! Spinner has kindly allowed both the score and the soundtrack to Edgar Wright‘s latest to stream in its entirety. The original score by Nigel Godrich is just beautiful, as it is seamlessly infested with videogame influences. He also had some help by Beck Hansen, Cornelius, Dan Nakamura, Kid Koala, David Campbell, Danny Goffey, Gaz Coombes, Kevin Drew, Brendan Canning, Joey Waronker, and Gus Seyffert. As for the soundtrack is is completely rockin’ and definitely worth a listen (and many more).

The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the fourth announced yesterday. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on CBS.
The Eye continued its reign as the #1-rated network this past season. Its procedurals (NCIS, CSI, Criminal Minds, Mentalist) dominate the marketplace, about half its sitcoms (The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men) are strong performers, and though it only launched four shows last Fall it turned two of them (Good Wife, NCIS: La) into major hits.
The network isn't resting on its laurels though as this year it launches three dramas and two comedies in the Fall, and the high-profile "Criminal Minds" spin-off mid-season. As a result some long running dramas like "Cold Case," "Ghost Whisperer" and "Numb3rs" along with its more recent and lesser performing sitcoms have all been given the axe.

After canceling seven shows yesterday, Wednesday's unveiling of the CBS fall schedule suddenly became an intriguing announcement. How much change was coming to the network's lineup?
Turns out, plenty.
CBS will launch a comedy block with "Big Bang Theory" on Thursdays, will move veteran procedural "CSI: NY" to Fridays and is shifting "Survivor" to Wednesdays, among other moves.
Executives dubbed the strategy "aggressive stability."
"There are two ways you can schedule," said CBS scheduling chief Kelly Kahl. "You can fill holes, or you can give your new shows a fighting chance with a lead-in."
CBS clearly opted for the latter. Chuck Lorre's latest comedy "Mike & Molly" will get a powerhouse lead-in from "Two and a Half Men" on Mondays. The network's top-rated comedy in the adult demo, "The Big Bang Theory," has been moved to 8 p.m. on Thursday to fuel new William Shatner comedy "$#*! My Dad Says" (which...

After Jason, Michael Meyer, and Freddy Kruger, should we add ‘Deranged Climber’ to the pantheon of great horror characters? No, but Kill Theory is a solid new stalk and slash film from director Chris Moore that, while never coming close to breaking any new ground, manages to generate more than its share of suspense and is a decent way to kill 84 minutes. It may be “by-the-numbers”, but it’s obviously made by people who know what makes slasher films work, which it does and I appreciated it’s lack of gimmickry. The ‘kill theory’ of the title is all about the natural human instinct to survive, but that’s just an excuse to set up a row of attractive young actors to die horribly, which they do.
