Touching, magnetic and poetic

It's rare to see a short film that leaves such a lasting impression.

Earl & Puppy focused on Earl's search for his romanticized lost love, Puppy, and the ramifications of pursuing a dream. The storytelling perfectly captured the struggle between the quest for independence and the longing for comfort and safety - in an exquisitely told piece. The music was subtle and moving - and after watching it at a film festival, I wished I was in my living room watching it on DVD to replay the dream-like slow motion scene with the children playing in the yard.

The writing was poignant, the acting impeccable, and the directing flawless. This is a filmmaker to watch - I'm anxiously awaiting Jeff Seymann's feature film debut.
