Sex & Nudity

  • A woman is shown relaxing in a bathtub as she talks with a man on the phone. No nudity is shown, as the soap bubbles cover her.
  • A man talks with a woman on the phone as he makes water offscreen, holding the phone outside the bathroom so that she cannot hear.
  • Two men hug each other in bathrobes, one of them obviously intoxicated.
  • A man sticks something down the back of a woman's tank top, and she squirms and squeals in irritation.
  • An older woman tells a young man that it isn't often that she brings handsome, young men into her bedroom.
  • A young woman tells a young man that she is checking out a cute guy (i.e., him).
  • A woman on stage uses the term "boner".
  • A man and woman kiss then later make out and fall to the floor.
  • It is implied that a man and woman have sex.
  • A woman tells a man that all the sex she has had in her life was not as intimate as their kiss.

Violence & Gore

  • A man seems inordinantly interested in an advertisement about knives on TV. A man watches an old movie showing a woman gunning down a man with a machine gun. Nothing graphic as only the gun is seen.
  • A man plans on commiting suicide with some kind of fitness bike with a knife attached to the handle or something that will move back and forth stabbing him. He is doing this after failing with his company on a shoe he made. The man is distracted by the sudden death of a loved one, but says that nothing will interfere with "the plan."

Profanity

  • Religious exclamations, including "Good L--d" and "Oh my G-d."
  • A man describes the weather as "hotter than the hinges of h-ll" that time of year.
  • Two F-bombs and some other milder language, including "sh-t."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A man is shown drunk. Alcohol drinking in quite a few scenes.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • After cremation, a man carries his father's ashes around in an urn. The deceased man's dead body is shown in a coffin. Multiple scenes take place at grave sites.
  • A little boy gets behind the wheel of a parked car and puts the car in reverse, nearly injuring himself or others.
  • A man bangs on a door, yelling at people to stop the cremation.
  • The film is emotionally intense as it features bereavement as a main theme.
