Sex & Nudity

  • A woman is briefly shown wearing a bikini

Violence & Gore

  • The violence is depicted in a very cartoonish manner. Comic book panels are used to portray closeups of enemies killed in specific ways. Sound effect bubbles are show during specific events in the game environment. The blood is bright red and lacks detail to mimic the way it is portrayed in comic books.
  • Shooting an enemy causes blood splatter to appear.
  • Objects in the environment can be used as makeshift weapons. They can be used to knock out enemies by throwing or smashing the objects over the enemy's head.

Profanity

  • God d _ _ _ _ is used.
  • This is quite unusual for a 12 rated game in Europe (it was however re-rated 16 for future re-releases)
  • Frequent mild language, i.e. shit, hell, crap, and a few uses of the word fuck.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A few characters smoke, and alcohol is used.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There is a part which takes place in a mental asylum, so some viewers may find this segment distressing.
