In space you could hear me laugh!
chiefomg22 November 2004
I've seen this film twice. Both times I laughed myself to death. I mean that in a good way. I'm huge fan of sci-fi and comedy. Rick Dunbar gave us both! This was a no-budget production, but it had a BIG story. The best scene was between Andy the android and Lt. Covel. Trying to explain the sexual side effects of her telepathic enhancing drugs. To be honest, Space Specks reminded me of my favorite Saturday morning shows from the 70s. Such as "Space Academy" and "Jason of Star Command". In fact, the first time I saw it, it was a Saturday morning. Oh yes, I was enjoying some cereal too. I say this...check this movie out. Good sets, good acting and best of all A GOOD STORY!

A fun indie spoof

Space Specks is a fun little indie film that spoofs all the Star Trek series. The spaceship graphics are pretty amazing considering this film's little budget. Congratulations Mr. Dunbar. A decent job for such a limited means. That's what indie filmmaking is all about, I guess.
