In the film, this song was followed by a few lines of the same composition sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy. Her lines were sung without any musical instruments and were not included in the audio release. This film was loosely adapted from the Shammi Kapoor film "Professor" (1962). The film "Dil Tera Aashiq" (1981) was also adapted from "Professor". "Professor" itself was based on the Hollywood film "Charley's Aunt" (1941) which in turn was based on the very successful play by the same name, written by Brandon Thomas.
