It was okay
DannyD199728 July 2015
Yeah, I don't think it was as bad as Johnny Test or Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island. I mean, sure, the animation in the first season wasn't that interesting, but has gotten better during the second season. ¡Mucha Lucha! isn't REALLY racist, nor is the worst thing I have ever seen in my life. It was an okay show. The character designs aren't that bad, the plot is interesting, the characters are likable, and the acting is pretty decent. It COULD'VE been a lot worse. I heard that the creators of El Tigre worked on this, but this was created by Eddie Mort and Lili Chin at FWAK!, and that's fine. At least ¡Mucha Lucha! also wasn't a bit like the Buzz on Maggie (Don't get be wrong, that show wasn't so bad either, especially for Disney). But it's an alright show for Kids' WB! At least it's better than Dora the Explorer.

My brother loves this series, even to this day

My brother really loved this series back then, and he used to laugh a lot watching each episode.

The show was a bit silly and over the top, but I still appreciate the happy memories it brought to me during the 2000s.

Such a goofy show
mitsubishizero27 September 2020
With characters such as the Flea, it's hard not to talk about this. This was an interesting show to watch. The moves they used were goofy and the gags were usually funny. The show centers around a trio of friends learning how to wrestle so they can the best at their craft. In addition to learning how to, they apply their moves when it comes to saving people from thugs bent on wrecking havoc.

This show was funny. Not great but worth a watch. If you can, check it out.

A good and a nice comedy cartoon!!!
Dozermelon17 January 2005
I like this cartoon... It is a comedy cartoon that adds wrestling and action... COOL!!! And i also enjoyed watching cartoon network and also other programs like samurai jack, Teen titans...

And also good for the family anyway... And this also needs to put more action(a little)... This is also a nice art of work anyway...

If no other cartoons can cheer your children up... Then this cartoon will definitely cheer them up...

If you want those poor quality cartoons like powerpuff girls, Pokémon, digimon... Then you might lose this cartoon...

If you want those good quality like samurai jack or teen titans like i have said above... You can catch this cartoon...

I would say that this is a mix of comedy, fighting, action and adventure...

Never really cared for it....
TheLittleSongbird2 October 2011
I love animation and Cartoon Network was part of my childhood. However Mucha Lucha was never a favourite, in fact it is one of my least favourite shows on that channel. The concept seemed dumb at hindsight but sort of interesting and I liked the names of all the moves and the theme tune has some nice flavour and rhythm to it. That for me is it. The animation has a flat and sometimes unfinished feel to it especially in the fluidity(or lack of) in the backgrounds, the stories got increasingly silly and predictable and the writing increasingly unfunny and dull. The moves were interesting but one could have wished for better animation and sound effects for them to make more of an impression. The characters are either bland or irritating to me, Flea in later episodes fits in the latter category. The voice acting was decent to start with, but over the years the accents and pronunciation got rather careless and unauthentic. Overall, despite my love for animation I have never cared for this show. 3/10 Bethany Cox

Six reviews? What the hell?

Such an underrated Cartoon Network show from the past, people seem to forget about it. This is a hilarious parody of mexican wrestling, we always quoted in school and laughed on it during breaks. Characters were also unique and funny, I don't know why they stopped airing it.

It's not just wrestling, it's a way of life.
True_BackLash1 March 2003
Mucha Lucha is a really good and difrent series made by Lili Mort and Eddie Chin. It's not everyday that the wrestling style of Lucha Libre is showcase like the way it is in the show. The fact that anyplace at anytime a ring would pop up and the wrestlers do slick, unreal moves. Other than that The Flea and Snow Pea make this series a hit. I hope Kids WB' keeps this show on for quite a while.

Great Show, But needs new voices
HeeroYuy09054 June 2004
Warning: Spoilers
*** SPOILERS*** ***SPOILERS***

This show is just plain funny. Though the real problem is the voices. I am an American of Mexican descent and my second native language is Spanish, so I can tell that the voices of most of the characters CAN'T really Spanish. Really anyone who spends enough time around Spanish speakers would be able to.

*Spolier Alert!* I especially liked the episode where there was to be a wrestling match between the children alongside their fathers. Ricochet's father doesn't show until the last minute when he busts in the arena in a car that has a horn that play "La Cucaracha". The ending match pits the three friends Ricochet, Beuna Girl, and the Flea. Because of their relationship Ricochet wonders what he should do. His father says that friends & family are worth more than trophy and says that he should take a dive along with his friends so that they can all win.

To persuade Ricochet, his father tell him why he was late. (This part was my favorite.) Before the Father/Child wresting match, Ricochet's father was at another match for (if I remember right) the world title. He is already at the final match, but the spokesman is taking so long with his speech that all you hear is "Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah!" Because Ricochet is the devout father that he is, the match with his son MUCH more important than the world title. So he places his opponents on top of him to pin himself down. Then the spokesman Counts "Oooonnnneeee!" in slow-motion for effect, but then Ricochet's father breaks in and counts "Two, Three!" And names his opponent the winner.

When the match starts, it goes normal until Ricochet get sentimental and pretends to get a cramp, to lose automatically. Beuna Girl realizes what her friend is doing so she does the same. The Flea also notices and acts as if he going to do the same, but then goes on to win it and then trips on a ripple in the mat, so the match ends in a draw. When the kids receive the trophy they to their fathers who, ironically, fight over who gets to take it home :-P.
