Australian distributor Monster Pictures has announced the launch of its new label Monster Masters with the unveiling of their first title - Ray Boseley's 1988 masterpiece Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em on 18 May - a film that should delight and enthral fans of Mad Max and Turbo Kid and everything in between. A long lost post-apocalyptic classic set slap bang in the middle of Melbourne’s 80’s underground music scene, Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em stars Nique Needles (Dogs In Space), Rob Howard, Fred Dugina, Danny Lillford (Trailer Park Boys) and featuring the music of Blue Ruin, the film is a satirical look at the last days of mankind. According to the press release, Monster Masters is "dedicated to preserving genre classics specifically for collectors...

There's still life in Sons Of Anarchy, even if its final season isn't quite doing its early days justice...
This review contains spoilers.
7.7 Greensleeves
When an episode of television ends with a major character losing his eye, it seems strange to still be lobbing accusations of nothing happening. But part of me is seriously wondering if this final season is actually one big joke Kurt Sutter is playing on the fans.
That’s not to say that it’s actively bad television. Greensleeves was filled with nice character moments and set up for future developments. There’s nothing wrong with having an episode designed only to set the table for things to come, but the big problem is that this entire season has been nothing but table setting. And really, Bobby losing an eye is a shock value moment disguised as a development. If Bobby is alive and gets away next week,...

Spoiler alert: In the Oct. 14 episode of Sons of Anarchy, "Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em," Leland (Brad Carter) and the Aryan Brotherhood made a return appearance to have a fistfight with Samcro, view the corpses of the ambushed East Dub crew, and taste-test the Mayan heroin that Tully (Marilyn Manson) is going to now distribute in Stockton under Jax's (Charlie Hunnam) new plan. Viewers may recognize the Texas-born, Georgia-raised Carter, who'd auditioned to play an Irish biker on Sons years ago, from HBO's True Detective—he played Ab inmate Charlie Lange. "Fortunately and unfortunately, these kind of characters seem to be in my wheelhouse.

Spoiler alert: In the Oct. 14 episode of Sons of Anarchy, "Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em," Alvarez (Emilio Rivera) declines Juice's offer of intel on Samcro in exchange for getting him into Mexico. Instead, Alvarez strikes a deal with Jax (Charlie Hunnam) to hand Juice over...in exchange for inheriting the Irish gun trade once they take down August Marks and splitting Lin's territory with the Niners (which will make up for the Mayans letting the Aryan Brotherhood distribute heroin in Stockton). Rivera, who's recurred on the show since the pilot, talked to EW about Alvarez's play, how he'll remember the show,...

Sons Of Anarchy is seriously flagging in its final season. Here's Gabriel's review of this week's episode...
This review contains spoilers.
7.6 Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em
By its very nature, a good cliffhanger should be somewhat frustrating. You know a writer has done their job well when you find yourself yelling at the screen, outraged that you have to wait to find out what happens next. Cliffhangers are like bread and butter for shows like Sons Of Anarchy; when successful they make you desperate to find out what happens, and ultimately that is what good television should always be achieving.
Some cliffhangers, however, are just frustrating and not much else. When this episode ended with Juice finally about to meet his maker (and presumably about to reveal the truth about Gemma’s involvement in Tara’s death) I was neither outraged nor exhilarated. I just rolled my eyes. Cliffhangers...

Charlie Hunnam lounged on his motorcycle in between takes on the set of Sons of Anarchy in California on Tuesday.
Charlie Hunnam Films 'Soa'
Hunnam was pictured leaning against his character Jax Teller's Harley Davidson when the cameras weren't rolling. Dressed in his Samcro attire, Hunnam wore baggy jeans, Jax's signature white sneakers and a plaid shirt under his black leather vest. Around his waste, he was packing his trusty knife.
Joining Hunnam on the Sons set in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday was Tommy Flanagan and Kim Coates, who play Chibs and Tig, respectively.
As the Sons of Anarchy cast is nearing the end of filming the show's seventh and final season, the actors have expressed their wish that it wasn't the end of the road. “We could still be telling this story for five more years, but when we signed on for a seven-year contract, in [creator Kurt] Sutter’s mind,...

Sons of Anarchy opened on Tuesday night with Gemma (Katey Sagal) struggling to walk down the road in spike-heeled boots following her late night confrontation with Juice (Theo Rossi), who took off with her truck. When she spots a truck stop diner down the way, she mutters, “Better have cigarettes.” Juice, meanwhile, is knocking up a convenience store.
Sons Of Anarchy Recap
At Diosa, Wendy (Drea de Matteo) is outside grabbing a smoke, clearly worrying over something. Bobby (Mark Boone Junior) comes up to her to see how she’s doing. Sensing Wendy’s worked up over Jax (Charlie Hunnam), he admits that the Sons leader doesn’t have an “outer crust,” which causes him to take everything in and boil up. Bobby also acknowledges that Wendy's ex is driven by his heart before he asks her if she still loves him; she does.
After trying to reassure Nero (Jimmy Smits...

Spoiler alert: The Oct. 14 episode of Sons of Anarchy, "Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em," ended with Juice (Theo Rossi) face-to-face with Jax (Charlie Hunnam) after he tried to make an ill-advised deal with Alvarez (Emilio Rivera) offering intel on Samcro in exchange for help getting into Mexico. Episode director Guy Ferland—who's helmed many memorable hours of Soa including "The Pull," "Albification," and season 7's "Poor Little Lambs"—phoned EW from the set of Gotham, where he's in the director's chair this week, to talk about filming Juice's betrayal, that East Dub ambush, and Gemma's breakdown. EW: Let's start...

The writers and editors of High Times magazine are probably firing up a celebratory bowl right now ... because a judge just helped them crush a literary competitor. We broke the story ... High Times -- which devotes itself to all things weed -- sued a competing magazine known as Mile High Times -- saying readers would be unfairly confused. It wasn't much of a fight ... Mile High Times essentially threw in the towel, agreeing to stop...

"I know we are at war with each other. How could you not be in this crazy, upside-down world? A world where on one corner you can get gourmet coffee, and in an apartment right above that someone's being raped for the last thirty years. How do you reconcile that? Unless the coffee is horrible …" –Eddie Pepitone

Director Robert Zemeckis made the DeLorean fly in "Back to the Future," but now he's headed for a troubled landing with the airplane drama "Flight."
Oscar-winner Denzel Washington plays pilot Whip Whitaker, who saves dozens of passengers with a brilliant maneuver during a mid-air emergency, but, after the media dubs him a hero, he becomes vilified for drinking the night before the eventful flight. John Goodman, Don Cheadle and Melissa Leo co-star in one of the season's most eagerly anticipated awards contenders.
1. Denzel's toxicology report reveals a .08% level of Oscar gold in his system.
2. Smoke 'em if you got 'em.
3. Come fly Air Denzel, where your ride is always smoooooooth.
