A young boy's fear made the DVD version a big hit

The literal translation of the title of this movie is: Death, Pre-planned.

The film crew actually tried to make this movie as a horror, but it really was not scary, so it was generally recognized as a thriller instead, and the box office was normal. However, it was scary for kids, and thanks to it, the DVD version was a huge success.

This was how the incident helped to propelled the DVD version to stardom: an eleven year old boy watched the DVD version while the parents were working overtime at the weekend and the before the movie was finished, the kid got spooked and called cops for help, asking them to come over to catch bad people. When the cops got to his home, they found him hiding in the corner a shaking, and mumbling, and soon everything cleared out: it was the DVD of this movie the boy was watching that spooked him. Both the parents and the cops felt that the movie was not scary, just a thriller at most, and may be a little intense for the kids, but this incident triggered a huge increase in sale of the DVD version of this movie.

Once you get a hold of the DVD version, you would certainly agree with the IMDB classification of thriller for this movie, just like most audience, and you would really agree that there really isn't anything scary even for kids.
