This is a brilliant short film by an aspiring filmmaker from Columbia University and, before that, the Netherlands. It has a big heart, a strong story, stunning special effects, and -- most importantly -- wet chickens.
They say that there are three things young directors should never do: a movie with children, a movie with animals, and a historical movie. Ellen-Alinda Verhoeff has done all three on a limited budget -- and succeeded admirably.
This director is one to watch.
