Passable film about tree thieves performed by Sancho Gracia , Pablo Carbonell, Carlos Fuentes who getaway from prison
miguellopezcortes25 February 2019
Fun and entertaining but average film about a trio of delinquents escape from a prison van and go the Mediterranean coast . They are : a retired, crippled pickpocket, (Sancho Gracia) , a man (Paco Carbonel) born and raised in a prision who's never seen a day of freedom, and a young loser (Carlos Fuentes) . When the vehicle has an accident they flee and jump a freight train and make their way to the Mediterranean coast, , there they find an isolated mansion where stand hiidden out . The strange house seems to be well maintained and strangely well stocked. Buth then shows up a beautiful foreigner, Elsa Pataki , and things go awry . After that , they become accidentally involved in a plutonium-trafficking scheme , and are relentlessly pursued by Policemen ,mobsters and shady Russian mafia .

This one deals with three unfortunate swindlers played by Sancho Gracia , Pablo Carbonell, Carlos Fuentes who getaway from a jail van when Guardia Civil is taking then back to penitentiary ; they are three second-rate delinquents to exact their comdenation and escaping from the police van that is taking them back to prison when it crashes . Later on , they become involved with a twisted intrigue about Plutonium smugging and hide out in an isolated mansion by the sea .This is a comedy with some of action and thriller in which 3 delinquents fall in extreme distresses . It is an uneven picture that's why it seems to be some silly and tiring. In this stirring feature nobody is what they seem and three getaway outlaws result to be the only ones amidst schemes , lies, betrayals ,chases , plots and seduction who act in the name of honesty and friendship . The enjoyable trio of main actors deliver agreeable acting such as : Sancho Gracia who plays a retired crook , Pablo Carbonell as the distressed thief who was born and raised in prison and the outcast fugitive performed by Carlos Fuentes. And gorgeous Elsa Patakias Nina, a young foreigner, whom the three escaped men have no choice but to hold against her will .Support cast is pretty good , such as : Manuel Galiana as Judge , Rafael Álvarez 'El Brujo' as Inspector , Óscar Ladoire as cashier , the veteran Luis Cuenca and a mobster played by Aitor Mazo who leads the Russian mafia .

Being well produced by Carlos Fernandez and Juan Fernandez from Castelao Productions . Packing an atmospheric and adequate cinematography by Angel Alderete . And catching as well as evocative score by Juan Pablo Muñoz Zielinski . Being uneven and regularly made by Benito Rabal . Benito is son of the prestigious actor Francisco Rabal . He previously directed El hermano bastardo de Dios and various TV series , such as : De tal Paco tal astilla , Nazca , Que pintamos aquí , Curro Jiménez: El regreso de una leyenda and a documentary : Paco Mi Padre . Raing : 5 acceptable and passable .

Entertaining but average film about a trio of delinquents ecape from a prison van and go the Mediterranean coast

This one deals with three swindlers played by Sancho Gracia , Pablo Carbonell, Carlos Fuentes who getaway from a jail van when Guardia Civil is taking then back to penitentiary to exact their comdenation. When the vehicle has an unfortunated accident they flee and go the Mediterranean sea, there they find an isolated mansion where stand hiidden out . Buth then appears a gorgeous foreigner, Elsa Pataki , and things go awry. Meanwhile they become involved with a twisted intrigue about Plutonium smugging and are mercilessly chased by Policemen, Rafal Alvarez El Brujo, and the Russian mafia led by a mobster, Aitor Mazo.

This is an action comedy , but it is more a noisy comedy than an action movie. The film relies heavily on the affecttionate relationship among three protagonists, it results in being extremely speaking themselves , that's why it seems to be some boring and tiring. The sympathetic trio of main actors deliver agreeable acting as Sancho Gracia who plays a retired crook , Pablo Carbonell as the distressed delinquent who was born and raised in prison. Here stands out the beautiful Elsa Pataki in an enjoyable role as a suspect foreigner. Efficiently produced by Carlos Fernandesz and Juan Fernandez from Filmax and Fantastic Factory , they have produced successful films as Fragiles, saga Rec, Dagon, El segundo nombre, Darkness, Beyond reanimator , Fragiles , La monja, Faust, among others . Being directed professionally by Benito Rabal, though it has flaws and gaps

About writing and stupidity
jpschapira11 April 2005
Fiction is an amazing world. Anything can be written in the piece of paper the writer has in his hand, and it can direct us to a world we've never visited. Get Charlie Kaufman, for example. What a mind! He takes an idea, or maybe he doesn't, and starts to show his magic putting some words together.

Sometimes things can also go wrong, even if the intention is good. Now I'm talking about "El Furgón". We'll get to the written part in less than a minute.

Let's see; we meet one stupid man. We meet another stupid man, and another stupid man. Because of the stupid things they do, they end up in a "furgón" (a car that police uses to take thieves to prison). Now we have three stupid persons together. The three men escape from the "furgón" because of a stupid thing. Now they are in an abandoned house enjoying life; and they continue to do stupid things! Of course, there had to be a girl; she's gorgeous and, guess...Stupid! She says she can speak English when she needs to, but she speaks the language awfully. The situation that is developed after the girl arrives, is one of the most stupid situations I've ever seen in a film.

I was disappointed because I like Spanish cinema; it always makes me feel good. It has a natural and warm style difficult to see in any other movies. Benito Rabal, the movie director, tries to impress with some shots, but it's not good enough (not even for the movie he's making). When he writes (we were talking about that) he tries to be funny and we laugh; at some situations and at his efforts. He did a good job with his cast, although. Casting the experienced Sancho García was a good idea, and he provides a little bit of class to the film. Pablo Carbonell tries his best with what he has; he was funny, in a stupid way. The rest of the cast...I didn't notice it.

That's what sometimes happens. It's not the actors fault, it's not the characters' fault. Maybe it's Benito Rabal's fault, who knows? Maybe the movie intended to be stupid, on purpose. Anyway, stupidity ensues...
