An excellent softcore movie!
dbrown-07020410 October 2003
This is one of the best softcore movies that Playboy/Image have ever released. Kelly Cauthen (the director) did it right.

The story is light and fun and of no importance anyway. Let's get to the stuff that matters. Nine girl/boy scenes, one girl/girl scene. All the scenes are excellent. There is a good variety of positions, and some really well composed shots. Music doesn't drown out everything so you can still hear the actors, and each scene comes to an excellent conclusion.

There are two scenes that I have to rave about. The one with Holly Hollywood and the girl/girl scene with Ava Lake and Inari Vachs. Both Holly and Inari are veterans of true adult videos. so stuff that other actresses would be a little nervous about doing, even if it is simulated, is a cakewalk for them. This really comes through in their performances.

Very recommended.

Watch out for the Horny Devil!
MrBark24 February 2003
Production values for softcore erotica have increased in recent years. This movie shows it. The plot is about a reporter who dives into the realm of computer personal ads as part of an assignment. She goes from one sexual adventure to another as she listens to the sexual adventures of others. However, after the recent breakup from her boyfriend and a string of meaningless flings, she feels emotionally empty. Can she find true love?

Anyway, people typically don't watch films like these for plots, but I will say the plot is good. The romantic ending is there which is a big bonus. You can watch it without feeling too dirty.

The scenes themselves are geared towards couples. Nine of ten scenes are straight male-to-female scenes. One is a female-to-female scene. There are six males and seven females that grace these scenes. They look good for the most part. Most of the women look natural.

All in all, a good film. Not the best for this genre, but still good.

A Winner for Cauthen

Warning: Spoilers
**SPOILER ALERT** Jessie (played by Beverly Lynne, earlier of `zombie-movie' fame) is a writer for `La-La' magazine who needs to come up with a powerful story on modern online dating in order to keep her job. Her live-in boyfriend Jonathan (Eddie Jay) eventually gets caught using Jessie's bed for sex games with his bimbo Cinnamon (Holly Hollywood). With righteous indignation Jessie sends Jonathan back to his beach bunny bimbos, suddenly and accidentally becoming single and available again. David (Daniel S D'Ottavio) Jessie's seemingly wimpy assistant haltingly admits to some experience with online dating, revealing his screen name as `Swashbuckler.' His personal example is a torrid affair with Zia (Diana Espen) who goes by `Little Devil' online. Her other assistant Lisa (Candace Washington) claims expert status in cybersex, supplying supporting evidence in the form of a steamy story about a `zipless' rendezvous with Hardy (Christeon Gordon) at a local gym. David and Lisa, while bickering with each other all along, join forces to convince Jessie to investigate the cyberdating phenomenon from the inside. They suggest, `Do it yourself so you'll know what you are writing about,' a position also being advocated by her editor Diane (Ava Lake). Meanwhile Nick (Christopher John Kapanke), a ponytailed photographer with a funny little voice, divides his time between sniping at Jessie about the foolishness of her project and having sex with `Supermodel' (Dee Summer) in his studio. Jessie's success in presenting herself as an unusually attractive cyberdater results in more `hits' than anyone could handle, so she carefully prepares a list of a five lucky guys. She meets them one by one in very controlled settings, reporting on the activities to David, Lisa, and Nick the following day. At first the guys she has chosen turn out to be larger-than-life obnoxious losers. Eventually, one of the dates, Paul (Tom Montreal), invites her back to his place. She accepts. They proceed to have sex. And suddenly another woman appears in the room watching. Paul casually introduces Anna (Shayna Lee) as his wife and `Isn't it going to be nice with all three of us now?' Jessie passes on the opportunity to the surprise of Anna, who claims to have been the one who made the date in the first place. Finally, the womanizing, conceited Nick, posing online as `the Mystery Man,' reveals his secret love for Jessie and she realizes that true love was closer than she had thought possible. Of course I have to say something here like, `Well, it's no work of Shakespeare, but . . .' And it is true that if you are looking for King Lear on VHS, it isn't in this box. However, like other Kelley Cauthen and Jennifer Byrne films, `Personals II...' doesn't take itself so seriously; it just shows itself to be a pleasant evening's entertainment. I continue to be pleased to see Cauthen's films provide entertainment without blowing up human bodies, setting up juvenile car chases, and obsessing on other cheap attention-getting techniques.

Heterosexual Heaven.
insomniac_rod23 April 2010
I think this is better than the original. We get a very hot cast, plenty of sexual situations, explicit moments during sex, sexy moans, dynamic direction, and best of all, hot women.

I love these kind of movies! I really enjoyed Mia Zotoli big time. The movie doesn't wastes time and starts with a sexy sex scene where a blonde gets it on a bedroom. Immediately after it, you get non-stop sex scenes with the right amount of steam.

I liked the cinematography and score. The movie feels very attractive and through visuals, you get hooked in.

Watch this! If you can, buy it.

Beverly Lynne gets personal
Dr. Gore14 October 2005
Warning: Spoilers
*SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT*

Beverly Lynne embarks on a romp through cyberspace. She has to write an article on online dating and decides to jump right in so that she can learn about it firsthand. This leads to a lot of sex. Beverly gets to meet a bunch of guys who want to see her naked. I was not surprised by her luck in the dating world. A horny guy at the office is watching her date half the city and becomes concerned that Lynne is slipping away from him. He wants to be more than "just friends"…

Ahh, Beverly Lynne. Here's a sex star I want to like but her recent movies have let me down. She's been pretty dull in most of her recent flicks with the exception of "Bikini a Go Go". She's also cut off most of her beautiful blonde hair for some inexplicable reason. The good news is that "Personals 2" has her looking just right. She's got a slim, fit body with a great hairstyle to match. Hair is very important to me. It can make or break the woman. This is the look that she must get back to. Please come back Beverly.

"Personals 2" is a pretty decent sex flick. It's kind of a romantic sex flick as Beverly navigates her way through the internet looking for love. It could have been a little sleazier for my tastes. I would have been a little more creative in the couplings. All of the sex scenes are guy/girl with the exception of one girl/girl scene but even that one is set up as if the two women were madly in love with each other. Of course one of the women was Mia Zottoli so that's some good loving. Now a Zottoli/Lynne scene would have been nice. Yeah…Lynne could have been working late and Zottoli could have helped her unwind…Yeah…

Speaking of Mia Zottoli, let me pause my fantasy and say one thing about her: She is hot! Hot I tell you! Good Lord man! Her large breasts are mind boggling. I know because I've looked at them and they've boggled my mind. She has one sex scene on a table with her female lover and I could barely control myself watching it. In fact, I can barely control myself writing this comment. Just watching her arch her back on the tabletop almost drove me to madness. Can you tell I like large breasted women? I could have gone for some more Zottoli action in this one but that's true of all movies I see. Any movie can be improved with a little Zottoli.
