Did You Know?
Trivia | This PPV marked the end of Right to Censor, due to the WWF winning their legal battle against the Parents Television Council. RTC's Steven Richards (Michael Manna) and Ivory (Lisa Moretti) cut a promo in the ring where Richards thanked Commissioner William Regal (Darren Matthews) for allowing him to "censor" the scheduled women's battle royal. Jacqueline (Jacqueline Moore), Lita (Amy Dumas) and Trish Stratus made their way out, with Ivory insulting them until they stripped her down to her bra and panties, sending her running to the back. They then pantsed Richards. Richards' next PPV appearance would be as the manager for Kronik at WWF Unforgiven (2001), while Ivory's next PPV appearance would be as the manager for Lance Storm at WWF No Mercy (2001). Meanwhile, ex-RTC members Bull Buchanan (Barry Buchanan), The Goodfather (Charles Wright), and Val Venis (Sean Morley) would get shipped off to WWE's developmental programs at Ohio Valley Wrestling (Louisville, KY) and the Heartland Wrestling Association (Ohio) for repackaging a month later, and would not be seen again in the WWF for the rest of the year. Both Venis and Wright (going back to being The Godfather) would return at Royal Rumble (2002), while Buchanan would return at WWE Armageddon (2002) as B-2, the lackey for John Cena. See more » |
