Behaviour Interactive has scored another “out of nowhere” collaboration for Dead by Daylight. They’ve teamed up with Bruce and the boys from Iron Maiden to bring their beloved figurehead, Eddie to Dead by Daylight in a new Collection of cosmetics.
Available for purchase now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Eddie joins in The Fog as Legendary Outfits for The Dredge, The Doctor, The Deathslinger, and The Oni. If you’re a metalhead, you’ll recognize these incarnations of Eddie from Powerslave, Somewhere in Time, The X Factor, Piece of Mind, and Iron Maiden’s most recent album, 2021’s Senjutsu. Survivors also get to join the mix, with Very Rare tour shirts for all the game’s original Survivors.
“What an incredibly exciting new collaboration for us to explore,” says Kirby Taylor, Product Manager on Dead by Daylight.

The historic Power Trip festival kicked off on Friday night (October 6th) in Indio, California. The three-day event features six of the biggest hard rock and heavy metal acts in the world, with two bands performing each night.
Tens of thousands of fans descended upon the Empire Polo Club, the same site where Coachella is held every year. They were greeted by a giant devil-horn-shaped cactus, letting them know that they were in for a weekend of legendary rock music.
Guns N’ Roses and Iron Maiden had the honor of playing the first night, with Maiden taking the stage first at 6:55 p.m., about 10 minutes later than the advertised 6:45 set time.
Instead of playing a “greatest hits” set, as could have been expected at an event such as Power Trip, Maiden stuck with their current “Future Past World Tour” setlist, which features the band playing songs predominantly from their latest album,...

It's not quite Undead Nightmare 2, but this Red Dead Online update should satisfy your Halloween horror cravings...
After some disturbing discoveries led players to believe that Rockstar was preparing a Halloween-themed update for Red Dead Online, the studio has finally revealed the official details for that seasonal update.
The highlight of this Halloween update is a new mode called Fear of the Dark. In it, players will assume the role of either a hunter or night stalker. Night stalkers are essentially horror movie slashers who benefit from increases in speed and strength. Hunters are basically humans who are equipped with familiar Rdr 2 arsenals. The night stalkers are trying to collect a series of masks spread across the map which grant them power. The hunters are trying to destroy those masks before the stalkers can collect them all (or kill hunters in the process). Every mask that gets destroyed weakens the stalkers somewhat.

A few songs into Iron Maiden’s set at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Saturday night, frontman Bruce Dickinson waged an onstage swordfight with a nine-foot-tall undead creature dressed as a British soldier. As the singer and the monster — a walking incarnation of the band’s trusty mascot, Eddie — dueled, the group’s five other members burned through “The Trooper,” Maiden’s pulse-quickening 1983 ode to the exhilaration and peril of 19th-century warfare. The scene was pure multimedia spectacle, absurd yet undeniably awesome — in other words, Iron Maiden in a nutshell.

Chicago – On a hot and humid night – with dark ominous clouds enveloping the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in Tinley Park, Ill. on June 15th, 2017 – the crowd gathered to see Iron Maiden, and spilled into their seats like a cold beer from the tap. The heavy metal-loving masses, with their torn jeans and ever-present mullets, got ready for the latest show in the band’s “The Book of Souls” World Tour by responding in Pavlovian fashion to UFO’s “Doctor Doctor” (Maiden’s intro song), as it boomed from the venue’s speakers.
The band’s frontman Bruce Dickinson initially appeared on stage, staring enchantingly into a steaming cauldron while summoning the spirits of all things Iron Maiden. The 58 year-old singer’s recent brush with cancer does not appear to be slowing him down. If anything, it has helped him appreciate his incredible fortune to be on stage with his fellow metal mavericks.

While watching the trailers before The Purge: Election Year, I noticed a powerful similarity among them: darkness. Sure, ghosts, serial killers, and witches are sharing the spotlight, but the theme of darkness dominated. I made a note to follow how these movies landed with the masses, and wow, did they land big: Don’t Breathe, a home invasion story about a blind veteran protecting his home from three thieves, has made its mark on the box office, and other trailers in that batch, like the one for Lights Out, had an equally strong opening for a summertime horror film. And while witches are scary, the real terror of Blair Witch (So Excited!) is that it brings us back to the basics: alone in the woods and in the dark. Sure, the dark is scary, but why is this theme hitting such a strong chord in the Us right now?
Let’s start with our bodies.

The 2016 Los Angeles Film Festival kicks off on Wednesday, June 1st, and this year’s Nightfall lineup looks to be yet another strong selection of genre films set to thrill festival-goers night after night.
For those of you in the southern California area, the 2016 Laff runs through Thursday, June 9th and is calling the ArcLight Culver City Cinema home this year. Here’s a look at what we’re anticipating once the Laff begins later this week, and for more information on the festival, please visit:

Abattoir (directed by Darren Lynn Bousman)
Full disclosure: Abattoir was edited by my significant other, so I am certainly biased, but my enthusiasm for the film comes from my excitement to see Bousman return to the hardboiled world of horror after working on The Devil’s Carnival musicals and his comedy-infused segment in last year’s Tales of Halloween anthology.

The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Collection. Eleven Classic Adventures. Eleven Brilliant Writers. One Incredible Doctor.
I love each and every incarnation of the Doctor, although there have always been two regenerations I’ve found difficult to understand. Two Doctors who, were I given the opportunity to write for, I wouldn’t know what to do. These are Paul McGann’s Doctor and Peter Davison’s fifth Doctor. I don’t love these Time Lords less than the others, in fact I find them frustratingly fascinating. They live up to the mystery of a mad man in a box.
So when I came to Trevor Baxendale’s novel, featuring Doctor #5, I was a little uneasy. I read the introduction where the author comments on Davison’s fallibility and youth, his two defining characteristics. This gave me faith, this sounded like a man who just got this era of the show. Then...

The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Collection. Eleven Classic Adventures. Eleven Brilliant Writers. One Incredible Doctor.
Festival Of Death by Jonathan Morris is NuWho Series Six. Or, to put it another way, Series Six of NuWho is Festival Of Death. First published in 2000, Morris’ novel sees the Doctor arriving somewhere he’s already saved only to find he made the ultimate sacrifice to do so. Realising his fate and accepting it in less than Moffat’s year-long storyline, the fourth Doctor travels back in time to the same place to meat his destiny.
This novel is a classic example of having to read a book more than once to get everything out of it, as it contains more time travelling confusion than anything the television series has cooked up. Near the halfway mark I was getting frustrated by the novel, not being able to understand a great deal, which conflicted with my level of enjoyment massively.

Creator Scott W. Perry tells Fango, “After the success of the first season, we’re moving forward with a bigger slate of movies with more talented filmmakers to come. Ten episodes are confirmed, and we hope to fill the season with 12 in total.”
The first batch of In Fear Of entries, currently visible on YouTube, range from “Monophobia: Fear of Being Alone” to “Achluophobia: Fear of the Dark.” Pictured here are Jeremiah Kipp’s “Scotomaphobia: Fear of Blindness” (pictured right and in two photos below) and Perry’s own “Gerontophobia: Fear of Aging.” “Scotomaphobia,” Perry tells us, “stars Susan Adriensen as Emily, a woman whose downward spiral of addiction in her life coincides with her increasing loss of vision.”
Kipp elaborates: “Our main character is going blind, so imagine an episode of Mr. Magoo where our blurry-eyed protagonist is bumping lines of coke, having shrieking booze-fueled confrontations, putting herself in...

It's not often I'm compelled to write about another site's Top 10 list, but when I saw Ozzy Osbourne's Bark At The Moon made Yahoo's list of Ten Worst Heavy Metal Albums of All-Time, I was flabbergasted.
Seriously, Bark At The Moon? Worst of All Time? No way!
According to the intro to the Yahoo! list, which also bafflingly includes Iron Maiden's Fear Of The Dark, to be considered for inclusion the band has to be "somewhat famous," stating "After all, why kick a band when it's down, who were never up in the first place?" That means, heavy metal bands people aren't really familiar with really wouldn't qualify, which makes their number 6 choice, Raven's The Pack Is Back, an odd selection considering they were less famous than their counterparts Anvil Before the Anvil! The Story Of Anvil award-winning movie was released. So, until Raven!: The Story Of...

Remember the Stunning Steve Austin, a Texan pro wrestler in the late-80s. Well, he and La Tortuga Danny Trejo, who spent much of the 1960s in California prisons, are finally mixing their powers for the indie action movie titled just Recoil.
John Sullivan, who wrote the horror Fear of the Dark, penned the script for this actioner directed by Terry Miles, who is currently developing thriller Timelock acquired by Im Global.
Jim Harvey of Studio City Pictures will be at Cannes seeking distribution for Recoil.
Austin, who played Dan Paine in The Expendables will portray an ex-cop who’s life is ripped apart when his family is viciously murdered. He then makes it his life’s passion to find those responsible and serve up his own kind of justice. Trejo portrays a cold-hearted killer who is seeking his own vengeance against the ex-cop over the murder of his brother...

Ready? Here you go.
