Not that ambitious but effective, not terrific but not boring, without any useless scene, without "fat". The sceme of a man, victim of a car accident as a driver, who seeks vengeance against the person responsible of the crash. He was severely hurt at the face and suffers from brain aches. Riveting and solid story directed by Josée Dayan, a woman director specialized in TV material. This kind of movie would have not made any gross in movie theaters, because it is rough, plain, stark, not for any audience. I read the Paul Clement's book, a very short one, more or less inspired by Gustave Flaubert's novels atmosphere, in the countryside and a bleak story. Good stuff.
