One of the weirdest cartoons ever, and I love it for that.

Fat Dog Mendoza is a really weird cartoon co-produced in Europe and the United States by TMO-Loonland, Sunbow Entertainment, Sony Wonder. It's the first ever Cartoon Network European co-production, and normally while most of them are hit-or-miss, this one isn't - in a way.

The series focuses on the titular Fat Dog, and his best friend Little Costumed Buddy, as they get into all sorts of strange and weird situations in the town of Neighbourhood X. It all starts with that guitar tune with all the things Fat Dog gets up to, then you know how weird this show gets.

Episodes range from Fat Dog being replaced with an identical dog, the Himalayan Mountains being moved into the backyard, to Neighborhood X being flooded by running bath water. They're weird, so weird, even more weirder, and weirdest of all. And I like it for that.

The voice acting is pretty interesting, featuring Canadian talent like Mark Acheson as Fat Dog himself in his voice acting debut.

The animation is weird as well, but I think it's fine enough for what it is.

In conclusion, if you remember Fat Dog from Cartoon Network back in the early 2000's, then you'll notice how weird it really is. It's not a cartoon for everyone, and I think it's best left that way.

i am from Europe so I saw all of their co productions, none of these were shown in the united states; no surprise, most of these shows are terrible

This show is not funny, has many creepy characters and it does not make sense also the animation was very ugly and bad

A few episodes of this show are on YouTube

I think this show is creepy unfunny horribly animated and I hated it when it premiered in the 90s and I still hate, it, people say I am a 90s fan boy but this show is horrendous and from 1998 so in your screaming face

A pretty strange animated series called Fat Dog Mendoza was co-produced in Europe and the US by TMO-Loonland, Sunbow Entertainment, and Sony Wonder. It's the first-ever Cartoon Network co-production in Europe, and unlike most of them, which are often hit-or-miss, this one isn't really.

The titular Fat Dog and his closest pal Little Costumed Buddy are the main characters of the show as they encounter many bizarre events in the town of Neighbourhood X. You can tell how bizarre this concert becomes when that guitar riff with all the antics Fat Dog engages in starts playing.

The Himalaya Mountains have been moved into the backyard, Fat Dog has been replaced with an identical dog, and Neighborhood X has been inundated by a flowing bath. They are peculiar, peculiarer yet, peculiarest of all. And I appreciate that.

Finally, you'll notice how bizarre it truly is if you recall Fat Dog from Cartoon Network in the early 2000s. I believe it's preferable to leave it as is as it's not a cartoon for everyone.
