Great DVD
I'm not as big of a wrestling fan now as I was when I was younger. Even then, I was never a huge Bret Hart fan. But this is one of my favorite DVD's to watch. The story was great, it tells everything from growing up in the Hart household right up to his stroke. I can't wait for his autobiography to come out.
When I saw the picture of Vince McMahon shaking hands with Bret Hart, immediately, I thought "Hell froze over." It was something I never expected to see in my life. Bret Hart was never my favorite wrestler growing up, I was into wrestlers such as the Undertaker and the Rock. But I must say, I am a Bret Hart fan now, as well as a Kurt Angle fan. I have so much respect for the technical wrestlers.
What made Bret so great was that he didn't need a gimmick. He was OK with being himself, and not a cowboy (Watch the DVD for more on that). It's sad because wrestling isn't what it use to be. When I watched it when I was younger, back in the late 90's, it was still cool. But now, there aren't any original ideas. You know that when they bring back D-X, you got trouble. And why is Ric Flair still wrestling? It seems that wrestling is on the decline. It's hard for me to watch wrestling, because it's the same thing week after week. It needs something different. Maybe Bret as commissioner? I'll say this though, if Bret ever does come back, for good, I will watch. When his autobiography comes out, I'll buy it.
