Xuxa executive-produced this picture against her crew's wishes, paying herself the rights to remake The Wiggles (1993) content. Her then manager (and close friend) Marlene Mattos wanted to focus her projects on teenagers while Xuxa desired to work for a younger audience. These creative clashes would result in the end of Xuxa and Mattos' longtime partnership.
Xuxa first thought of creating this picture after noticing a lack of content in video to younger children in Brazil. Her daughter Sasha Meneghel is an English language-literate and, as a toddler, watched The Wiggles (1993)'s videos from which Xuxa took inspiration to create this series.
The only "Baixinhos" to feature the characters X, Y and Z. They were replaced by the trio of color-correspondent Mice from Xuxa Só Para Baixinhos 2 (2001) onwards. All the other characters introduced in this volume remain.
The last song is an homage to Xuxa's goddaughter Bárbara who died of meningitis aged 4 in 1997. Xuxa had to reshoot the video four times due to her intense commotion.
Every Brazilian-Portuguese version to The Wiggles (1993) songs seen in this picture (and in the entire series) was written by Vanessa Alves who plays the Pink Mouse in Xuxa Só Para Baixinhos 2 (2001) and the following volumes.
