Nice fun!
jrgirones7 December 2002
Daniel Monzon's second feature as a director is an extremely enjoyable homage to all those films involving great and impossible robberies gone wrong. It has a fortunate sense for hilarious visual gags and it is narrated with very good pulse, even if the conclusion makes it a little bit longer than one would desire. It also has a bunch of funny, well-depicted characters brought to live by a perfect cast. If you catch it, you'll have a good time.

Fun and amusing Spanish film about a hold-up carried out by a quirky team
ma-cortes26 September 2012
The film talks a hold up to Spanish museum , the Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid , proceeded by a misfit and eccentric group . Since the beginning until the end the good mood and humor is continued . The plot is very amusing and the final has got some surprises . The picture is about a heist of Picasso's paint "El Guernica" . The band is formed by motley members led by the chief "El Santo" , The Saint, (Antonio Resines) . The bunch is composed by a swindler nicknamed painter Zorba "El Greco" (Manuel Manquiña) , a hacker "Windows" called Jacobo Yuste (Jimmy Barnatán) , a dwarf trapeze artist named Pinito (Javier Aller) and the wife of the Saint , a Strip-tease artist (Neus Asensi).

This theft film packs action , comedy , rip-roaring scenes and some nudism in charge of the sexy Neus Asensi . Dumb images , intentionally hilarious and lots of amusement and entertainment . Made on a fairly acceptable scale with good production design and glimmer photography . Enough budget for a Spanish movie and well produced by the great producer Andres Vicente Gomez . This entertaining picture contains laughers , suspense, frenetic action, twits plots , tension and moving action scenes such as the robbery scenes . The film is full of freaks and Psychotronic characters ; it is quite entertaining because being a laborious and intriguing suspense tale with lots of humor and tongue-in-cheek . In the movie there are comedy, action , tongue-in-cheek , giggles and is very bemusing .Interesting and humorous screenplay by Jorge Guerricaechevarria (Eloy De Iglesia's usual screenwriter) and the same filmmaker , Daniel Monzon . Ample and experimented Spanish support cast such as Sancho Gracias as Garganta Profunda , Enrique Villen , Javivi , Rosario Pardo , Enrique De La Torre , Fernando Bilbao , Jordi Vilches, José Lifante as El Gran Shazam , Alfred Lucchetti as Judge , among others . Appropriate cinematography by Carlos Gusi (Torrente , Box 507) who photographs splendidly the exteriors and interiors , being filmed in Carabanchel Prison , Madrid, Palma, Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Valladolid . Adequate and atmospheric musical score by Roque Baños (Fragiles , Machinist , Sexy beast, 800 bullets). The motion picture was well directed by Daniel Monzon , a former cinema reviewer , he undertakes a skill and agreeable filmmaking with some spectacular scenes such as the museum and airport scenes . He previously directed sword and witchery/fantasy (Heart of warrior) , suspense (The Kovak box), and wrote the thriller titled ¨Desvio a Paraiso¨ ; his greatest hit was the prison movie , ¨Celda 211¨. The yarn will appeal to comedy enthusiast and robbery genre fans . Well worth watching

A funny movie
padg_110 May 2004
The film is about a theft of picasso's paint "El Guernica" at the Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid. The band is composed by excentric members. The chief "El Santo" (The Saint) One painter Zorba "El greco" A hacker "Windows". A dwarf trapeze artist from a circus. And the wife of the Saint.

All the movie is a kind of parody of Mission Imposible but he argument is completly different.

It's a really great movie.
