Studio 2000's "in house director" Derek Kent (a/k/a Ross Cannon), who did a decent and thoroughly professional job on TWISTED, has crafted a wonderful sleeper here that can best be described as a uniform fetish video for the romantically inclined homosexual ! Every single aspect of this relentless little charmer testifies of care and respect for its intended audience, from physically and temperamentally correct casting to atmosphere-enhancing mood lighting and an entrancing soundtrack by Rock Hard who also supplied the music for Andrew Blake's breakthrough film NIGHT TRIPS.

As dad (Rob Lance, an attractive older guy who makes a nice change from the teenage tarts cluttering the genre) has to go away on business for the weekend, he has his lover Officer Sean Mulligan ("Mark Slade" a/k/a straight porn stud Frank Towers) check on his son Davey, nicely played by Tommy Lord – looking more than ever like the hunkier kid brother of Sean Hayes (Jack on WILL & GRACE) – who even managed to stay afloat in David Thompson's pointlessly lugubrious MOAN. Unlike his old man, Davey's not too keen on cops but he soon finds out that his two best friends really, really are as they relate tales of how "a friend of a friend" interfered with the law. Ben Damon (BILLY HERRINGTON'S BODY SHOP by the indomitable Chi Chi Larue) lures security guard Jens Hammer (a German performer frequently found in fetish fare as well as Bruce LaBruce's scandal-mongering SKIN GANG) down to the school basement on false pretenses for a terrific "give & take" highlighted by practically palpable chemistry.

Better still is the next long sequence that finds wide-eyed preacher's son Jeff White – on his way home from choir practice, natch – stumble across a pair of police men (Dave Nelson and Brad King) making out in an alley. When discovered, he's naturally invited to join in the fun as they take him to a deserted warehouse for a tantalizing threesome that stands as one of the most stylish (dig that simultaneous Chippendale disrobing as the lawmen step from darkness into light) and sizzling I've witnessed in quite a while. This movie actually shapes up as a key feature for contract boy on his way out White (so memorable in John Travis' TAILSPIN) who can still do innocence remarkably well at this advanced stage of his career, a quality that'll give many a viewer palpitations as he deepens his friendship with Lord in a credible display of pent-up passion finally released.

For narrative closure (surprisingly for a non-Jerry Douglas gay video, this one has a complete storyline that even comes with decent and well-delivered dialog by Tyler Adams and former Adult Video News reviewer Stan Ward), Lord manages to overcome his prejudice against the armed forces and falls into the arms of his father's now discarded lover for a jail cell romp that makes good on the film's title. As the dyslexic may have already figured out, that title is something of a naughty (misspelled) anagram for the type of language the IMDb won't let us employ.

In addition to already mentioned qualities, this feature also sports by far the best art direction of any gay video in recent memory, done in a subtle, non-ostentatious fashion, meaning that costumes and locations look exactly like they're supposed to, right down to the nitty gritty details. This might sound like faint praise, but if you're a regular porn video viewer like myself you'll undoubtedly appreciate that no out of place elements intrude on the fantasy and shatter the illusion. So you're not watching Tommy Lord and Jeff White do a scene together, you're witnessing Davey and his best friend from grade school onwards Bob making up for lost time. Perception can make a whole difference.

Usually considered a "stud" first and an actor much further down on the list, Towers comes across as rather endearing here, his naturally wooden demeanor perfectly suited for a man of the law trying to suppress his true feelings. He may even have found his ideal screen partner in the engaging and accommodating Lord, the two of them striking sparks of one another in a climax worthy of that name.
