There were actually three different versions of the beginning and end sequences of the film. The first, which was in the original screenplay took place in a grade school, where Harley Dawkins played by Director 'Christopher Carter' was teaching. One of the kids was to get up and narrate the rest of the story. The second was actually shot, and took place in a high school with Director Jason Lupish playing the role of the teacher, and Carter playing a student teacher who calls on the class to read stories that they have written. At which point director Adam Jack gets up and narrates the story. Since this scene was cut, and Carter and Jack kept their roles in the movie that now takes place in a palm readers basement, Lupish was cut out of the final film. Therefore he is the only director not to make an appearance in the film.
Although a majority of the movie was shot over a one week period in August, due to the low budget the producers weren't able to finish shooting everything for the movie until almost a year later.
