The reality of Mexico City in those years.
TheMexFilm10 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
From the beginning, this film showed us a very raw perspective of a world that in those years was beginning to know poverty and the limits of violence in general. Showing us just a slice of what the life of young people and many poor people in Mexican society was really like, which honestly has too much merit.

The Mexican films of those years touched on these themes a lot and above all they had very striking titles (like this one in particular) making us see that no matter how bad they were, there could always be a gem among so much land that was produced.

The story focuses on some young gang members, a doctor who has just started his career and a social worker, who little by little lead themselves down a path full of death, terror and a lot of pain, which will lead them to know how the world is at their disposal. Around them are not beautiful or perfect as they thought.

At first I invite you to analyze each person's context, the perspective of each one of them and finally the doctor's perspective, but it is the one that is shown throughout the film and requires a comprehensive analysis of the other characters.

It also features performances by Arturo Vazquez (as a gang punk), Carmen Salinas and Valentin Trujillo, who with their performances greatly improve the film and show us more perspectives of the reality it is trying to share.

It is a great movie, with its details, lights and shadows. It promises a lot and I highly recommend it for its cultural level and the themes it takes in each part of it. My score is 7 out of 10 for its excellent quality.
