Although he's recently been dropping hints about directing his first fictional feature, which he describes as being "very Erin Brockovich-ish", director Morgan Spurlock also has another documentary coming out this year as well. Premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival this past weekend, Mansome explores the amusing world of male grooming in a broad comedic way like only Morgan Spurlock can. The first trailer has now hit the web, and well... it looks like a Morgan Spurlock documentary. The movie is produced by Will Arnett and Jason Bateman, and strangely enough, they both figure quite prominently in the trailer. Other notable celebrity talking heads include Paul Rudd, Zach Galifianakis, Adam Carolla and Judd Apatow. It kind of reminds me of Chris Rock's Good Hair and another documentary I saw a few years back called American Mullet. I'm sure it will be moderately amusing, but let's face it... there isn't...

My French Film Festival
Thanks to bids for Oscar consideration, the winter is traditionally one of the rare times foreign films get plenty of attention in the States, particularly at West Coast festivals such as Palm Springs and Santa Barbara. However, Francophiles in particular will be excited to know you won't have to go to California or New York -- or even Paris for that matter -- to be able to catch some of the most recent cinema from France since uniFrance is unveiling My French Film Festival, which is being billed as the "first exclusively online film festival celebrating French talent" that...

MacGruber
Directed by: Jorma Taccone
Cast: Will Forte, Kristen Wiig, Ryan Philippe, Val Kilmer
Running Time: 1 hr 22 mins
Rating: R
Release Date: May 21, 2010
Plot: A dim-witted all-American operative named MacGruber (Forte) must stop his nemesis Dieter Von Cunth (Kilmer) from detonating a nuclear warhead.
Who’S It For?: Those who have laughed with this character before on “Saturday Night Live” will be able to do so again here, but outsiders must be warned that this is a particular breed of mindless comedy. Also, if you do decide to see this one, go with a friend – the mission of enjoying a movie of this brand is impossible if one goes lone wolf.
Expectations: I felt like I would have an advantage in enjoying this movie as I have a cozy spot in my heart for Hot Rod, another movie with SNL roots that looked like it would share MacGruber’s humor.
