Amateurish and irrelevant

"The Flock is an American 15-minute short film from 2001, so this one has its 15th anniversary this year. And it is a watch that ranges from bad to mediocre from start to finish. The director is John Regan and he, just like his duo of writers, was really new to filmmaking back then. That's why I am a bit generous with my rating here. It's a lot closer to one star out of five than to three stars out of five. The story is extremely confusing and this film is not half as smart or cool as it thinks it is. The acting is weak and the soundtrack is extremely over-the-top. This story, which is a mix of mystery and crime, is just never really interesting or relevant and, instead, goes for cheap thrills especially in the end. I really hope the people who worked on this one have managed to step thing up since then because this one here is definitely not worth the watch. I give it a thumbs-down.

Fast paced, brutal, slick, dark

Don't blink or you might get lost. This film moves fast and requires a certain amount of focus, but the pay-off is big. Not for the faint-of-heart. Each scene embodies a different mood. Very rich texture.
